I couldn't believe My ears when I heard the news. I was being offered a chance to work at the palace? It was like a dream come true for me. But at the same time, I felt a pang of sadness in my heart. I had grown attached to the Nexus pack, even if they didn't fully accept me as one of their own. As I packed my bags and prepared to leave with the selected warriors, I felt a mix of emotions. As I hugged some of my friend from the pack and said I my goodbyes, I couldn't help but feel a sense of bittersweet nostalgia wash over me. Would I be able to fit in with the other servants and workers? Would I be able to meet the king and work for him directly? Despite my worries, I was determined to make the most of this opportunity. I was grateful for the chance to work at the palace and would do y best to make a good impression on everyone I met. As I climbed into the king's carriage, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I had never been this close to royalty before, let alone to a werewolf king who was known to be so powerful and I couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by his presence. I had heard stories of his immense power and feared that he might not take kindly to having a mere human in his service. But as the carriage began to move,I was surprised to find that the king was actually quite friendly and approachable. I was surprised with his warmth and kindness. He welcomed me with a smile For a while,There was an awkward silence between us, and I fidgeted nervously with my hands. But then, to myj surprise, the king spoke up. "So, Aurelia," he said, his deep voice filling the carriage. "I hear you're something of an outsider among your pack." Aurelia's heart skipped a beat. I hadn't expected the king to know anything about me, let alone bring up such a sensitive topic. "Yes, Your Majesty," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. "I'm just a simple human. I don't have any special talents or abilities like the other members of the pack." The king regarded me for a moment, his piercing gaze seeming to look right through me. "I see," he said finally. "There are many who would seek to challenge our rule - rogue packs, rival kingdoms, even some humans who don't understand our ways. But we are prepared for any threat." I nodded, impressed by the king's resolve. "It sounds like you have a lot of responsibility as king." "I do," the king replied. "But it's a responsibility I willingly bear. My duty is to protect my people and ensure that our kingdom remains strong and prosperous." I couldn't help but admire the king's dedication to his role. Despite his intimidating presence, I could see that he truly cared about the well-being of his subjects. I smiled warmly and replied, "I've always dreamed of seeing more of the world and meeting new people. When the king offered me the chance to work here, I couldn't say no." Another warrior, a quiet and reserved woman named Sienna, asked, "But aren't you going to miss nexus? Leaving everything you know behind can be tough." The king invited Aurelia to dance with him, much to the surprise and delight of the other guests. and I found myself swept up in the magic of the moment.
