Brayden Adams was going to be a Sophomore this year at Virginia Tech. He was a high school scholar, captain of the football team and also the quarterback, he played basketball, and he was the soon-to-be alpha of the White Claw Pack. The most powerful pack in Northern America and the largest. He's father, Frank Adams, would be handing it down to him by the end of the semester, so he knew he had to attempt to find a Luna soon. Because everyone knows an Alpha is nothing without his fated mate. He often wondered if she would be a model? If she was still out there? Most people find their mates by 19. He was now 20 and found nothing. He had even saved himself for this mystery person. He didn't care about gender as long as they loved him back. Which who could not love a tanned, muscular, football player with a slight dominant thrill in bed.
For the last 3 days, U-haul trucks have been going into the apartment complex beside the packed house. Since that first day, his wolf has been going crazy. The strong scent of Lavander was calming but also driving his wolf insane. He knew right away it was his mate and hadn't even met the person yet. He would act like he was doing stuff like washing his car, cleaning the house, working on his motorcycle, anything to be outside for when he could see who the lavender sent belonged to. But, no person that was helping unload the trucks even acknowledged him, and he felt the scent fade. Which annoyed him and also made him hopeful that whoever the person was would be there soon.
The morning finally came, which had Brayden waking up early because he was hearing cars outside at 5am, which surprised him. No one in their right minds would be up this early, he thought to himself. As he looked out the cracked window, he got a sniff and rushed into his bathroom and got on sweats and down the stairs only to be stopped by his beta and best friend Jaden. Who was already up and about to head to training. "Oh, so you're joining us today?" He asked, laughing as Brayden sighed "Well, I was going to head to practice." He lied and grabbed his motorcycle keys and went outside about the time his mate hugged the tall built man that was with her, and he saw red. His wolf fronted as his green eyes turned black "She's already taken! This is stupid! She is ours!" Malice was pissed as Brayden felt defeated. Jaden noticed his friend rushing to his motorcycle and looked confused. "She's with someone already!" He barked into the mind-link at Jaden, who looked at the small girl and the man and sighed, shaking his head. Jaden knew he had to figure out a way to see if they were really together or not.
So, while the grumpy alpha takes off on his motorcycle, confronting the young women and man, Jaden looks shocked. The young girl was laughing. He knew this wouldn't be appropriate behavior for his alpha and knew it made him madder the way he drove off. Jaden decided to take it upon himself to find out the truth. Once he noticed the women and man talking, he tried his best to sneak into the house without being noticed. But, someone saw.
Brayden had got about 5 minutes away when he got a mind link from Jaden. " Dude, it's her brother!" Jaden yelled in Brayden's head. Brayden stopped for a second, mindlinking back "I swear to the goddess if you are lying... You had better not be joking!" He looked around on the empty road and began flying back towards his house, the pack already standing outside waiting when he pulled back up in the pack's driveway. He noticed the curtain was open and finally saw the male his beta Jaden claimed was the brother and wanted to laugh. He was tattooed, fit, and looked like a boss in the final stage of any video game. He was soon pulled away from thinking about the male when he noticed his mate, his sweet-smiling, beautiful doe-eyed mate staring at the group of guys. "Act like you, don't see her, let's just talk " He mindlinked his pack as they all began talking to each other in a circle, but of course Brayden stayed front a center just like he always did. But, once Ashley's eyes landed on him, it was like his whole world was now her, he needed her. He was pretty sure if the pack wasn't here or Ashley's brother he would bust down the door and take her right then.
After what seemed like a lifetime but was only seconds, he noticed she jumped, which broke eye contact, and once again saw her brother in the room with her, and he wanted to growl at him for taking the attention from him, but noticed she was also blushing, which meant she felt the same thing he just did. That alone made his whole year and even made him forgive her, "She didn't do anything, idiot." Malice huffed. "Yes, but she could have." Brayden said to Malice as he kept watching but began acting like he was talking as well. "Uh, oh" He said seeing them hug once more and the tall man talking out of the house closing the door behind him. "You just want to blame someone for you being a bitter butt" Malice said with a low growl, he wanted his mate so bad he couldn't stand it. "Give it time, we just met her. We don't need to get her into this mess with hunters until we know she can handle it. Plus she's human, she might not even know about our kind." Brayden argued, which only upset the wolf more as he blocked out communication from Brayden. "Ol' mutt" Brayden said out loudly as he went back to talking to his pack.

If it is between the sheep
and the wolf
go with the wolf
he will love in the tenderest
but fiercest ways
