Chapter Four

Jessica's pov. My mother and I said our good byes and left after signing the contract when she was ok with what was in the papers without even asking for my opinions which made me to be sad as my mother said nothing about a cheating so in-law before he even became one as we caught him doing so and not just hearing from other’s gossips or anything. Bidding farewell to Mr. Anderson, I stood up from my seat as I noticed the tick on my mother’s face. She was angry, rather furious, but what for? Just as we reached the glass door, Mr. Anderson spoke in his deep voice, “May I have a word with you Miss Wilson?” Giving my mother a look, I turned my back to see Alex as he motioned for me to come closer. “Are you mute, Miss Wilson” He said looking at me with his head tilted to the side and his eyes narrowed. I looked at him with my eyebrows raised, whatever caused him to think that. “you haven’t spoken a word since you’ve entered.” He said once again studying me with those X-ray eyes. “oh so If a person doesn’t say anything he’s mute, nice thinking Mr. Anderson. “I said sarcastically looking at him with my head held high, “Now if you don’t have anything else absurd to say, I shall take my leave. Goodbye! “I said bitterly as I slammed the door and quickly walked to my mother who was waiting in the elevator for me. I couldn’t wait to get back to the office and shrink in eating burger in between my meetings.
