12 VALENTINA I was not nearly as tired as I expected by the time evening came. After being up before the sun, I figured I’d be dragging, but there was something about the sunrise that invigorated me. Not that I planned to get up that early again, but it was a good experiment. The girls ran well at the meet, and to celebrate, I told them we could go out to dinner. By some miracle, they agreed on where to go. Will Work For Burgers had always been a family favorite, but that didn’t mean there weren’t usually arguments about whose turn it was to pick dinner. We all showered and changed after the meet, then went to the crowded restaurant.
