I arrive back at the packhouse to see Roads carrying River out of Emersons office. The expression on Roads’s face could scare the s**t out of anyone that passes him right now. “Roads what happened.” He glares at me. “Talk to that piece of s**t vampire that’s in your mate's office.” He tells me as he doesn’t even slow down. I stand there for a minute watching him disappear down the stairs at the end of the hallway. I turn back around when I hear voices coming from inside the office. I don’t know who is inside but I’m sure as hell going to find out what’s going on.
