Chapter XVIII
From a distance, on Ligayun tribe’s village. Namasi is still reeling from everything that happened. From what Kundra did to her and the news about Lamon. She feared that Arayan and Quamran must be in the same trouble and there is no one else who could help them but the king of Shuixron.
Since Kundra’s departure, she has been avoiding any contact from the villagers. Everyone; including the old Shama, thinks that her melancholy is because of Quamran. But none of them seems realized Kundra’s hostility.
She sent herself secluded inside their small shelter, where she continue making serapes. But her mind is full of thoughts and concerns that are unwanted. And her mother couldn’t help but watch her spacing out from the distance.
Many years ago, there was an accident. Arayan, Kundra and she were juveniles when a Mourhak accidentally broke into the walls of Azucena. The Mourhak aimed for Namasi but Arayan threw rocks at the Mourhak to steal its attention and save her. She managed to deal with it somehow but the Mourhak overrun Arayan and catches her instead. She thought she will never see Arayan again. And as the troupes went out to find the Ayah, She went out herself to find her alone. On her foolish mind she thought, she must save her since she is the reason why the Ayah was abducted. Arayan put her life in danger and she blamed no one but herself. She took advantage of the commotion caused by the Ayah’s a*******n and sneaked out outside the northern the gate—the most dangerous route one could ever take. But that is the only possible place for the Mourhak to hide Arayan.
The Mourhak is so much different from a normal Ogre, only it is bigger and wilder and more hideous. Its fangs are so big that it could reach its own long forehead and the sticky long hair. And as if everything about it is long and the overflowing pungent smell. Ohhh!! How arayan is doing right now? she must be so scared, crying for help and yet no one ever heard her trembling little voice—she thought to herself
“Arayan! Ayah!”
she keeps on calling her name. Her eyes were already swollen due to her nonstop crying.
“Ayah!?” a sudden motion from the dried bushes made noise and it startled her to freeze. She couldn’t afford to make a single noise now, but what if?
“Ayah?” she whispered and dreaded to see what is making the movement.
Another hush from the bushes and Namasi felt nothing but total fear. This must be the end of her life; such a young life discovered nothing but the terrors of Mourhak, nothing but…
“Namasi!”
A voice called and from behind a spear crossed and hit the ogre who suddenly appeared in the front of her. She was pale and her heart wont cease to pound fast “are you alright!?” it wasn't her first meeting with Quamran, but it was the first time she had such an impression on him. He was young but not in their age. He was handsome, and before him she can only nod and get scared.
It was later after that when the Markham have claimed to have found Arayan. The Markham Lamon, the Ayah’s older brother. Arayan was fine when they found her. She heard it was another weird creature in human form saved her. She said it was a young boy with golden hair and pale skin, paler than the people of Acia City. She never met one of those, but if she ever did, she will have to thank them for saving her one and only friend, Arayan.
Far beyond the kingdom of Shuixron, the Markham of Ligayun tribe found himself wondering around a strange land that completely different from the mortal realm. it is astonishing how such a place exist on the same world he grew up to.
So this is the place where the Elves currently hiding huh? The people his father warned him about, and where that boy who saved his sister a long time ago came from. He somehow felt the powerful magic all over the place, however It is more peaceful than he supposed, and is quite cheerful in an odd way--he guess.
but upon his idle walk, an elf stood before him
“Hello Arman” the elf greeted him with his eyes staring directly to Lamon's face. Strangely smiling at him “Ahh!! Hello?” this elf is also calling him Arman. What exactly his father did for him to be famous around the elves? He couldn’t afford to lose his Identity on such occasion, if they will learn that he is not Arman, there is no telling what could happen. They might probably kill him and he will not be able to come home
“How was it? You are finally here? It took you so many years to pay the price of that scroll!” the elf continued, but Lamon remained empty of words to answer him. He is still lost on what this villainous looking elf is talking about
“Yeah?” he said to play along
“Are you making me a fool Arman? Do you think I don’t know? You are here for them. I am on the verge of reaching my goal, I cannot afford to lose now. You are fool Arman, fighting blindly for a king who see you as a mere object. Your king is the evil one here ” the elf’s words are sure convincing and weird, he is like threatening him, like he is speaking for some deeper reason
“Lamon your son is in the land of Qionar, he is fighting for them” then the man walk pass him leaving Lamon shocked from his announcement
Who is this Lamon he’s referring to? Could it be an Impostor? It must not be Arayan. Arayan probably went back home, but knowing his sister, she probably is looking for him now with Quamran.
Khanis looks at him suspiciously. After studying his figure, his appearance is somehow slowly drifting away from what a gathom like Arman looks like.
