(Kennedy's POV) The room was dark, the pale light of the moon peeping through the thin curtain. The sweet musky smell of lavender permeated into the air—her smell. I stood just inside the doorway, watching her. She had just come from the bath and was still wet. A film of damp hair outlined her shoulders, framing an oval of tender face.
