It was nice to be out of my dusty sweaty clothes and into something clean. And modern. I was not exactly a new vampire. I had been alive for a very long time but I was a modern man. And I liked the comfort of modern clothes.
So the clean, fresh-smelling jeans and T-shirt were welcome after so many hours travelling and then sitting out in a barren wasteland.
Making my way through the maze-like corridors I had a moment to myself.
It would be so easy to go to a Bellas room and see what was going on. I wanted to know how she was. I missed her.
