Everyone was staring at me. Even when they tried to hide it I could feel their eyes on me. But I didn’t care about anyone but the two men who were hovering at the back of the grand room. They were staring at me openly. They didn’t try to hide the disbelief on their faces and it made me nervous.
My palms were sweaty and I wiped them down the sequinned material on my thighs.
I needed to calm down. The queen and Faith hat both warned me that I needed to keep a hold of my emotions tonight. My promise that I would was the only reason they even allowed me out if my room.
I couldn’t control my powers when I got upset and things ended up dying. So far I hadn’t hurt anything but flowers and plants but it was only a matter of time.
