Bella “Bradley.” I hesitated for just a second as the elevator came to a stop. Doubt had been niggling at me since I had followed him out of the library. The hope and euphoria I had felt when he spoke had faded. It made me doubt if my feelings were my own. And now that we were at his building I was almost frightened. I just wasn’t sure why. Bradley had never done anything to hurt me. If anything he had saved me. So my fear was unfounded. “Where are we?” I tugged my hand back. And for a second his eyes blazed as he looked back at me. The anger took me by surprise. Why would he be angry at me. Outside a fork of lightening rent the air, illuminating us from the window. It was like the sky itself was angry. “My place.” He shrugged.
