It was almost comical the way Rhyder scrambled to his feet. His face confused. I didn’t laugh though.
She had almost fooled us and this wasn’t a laughing matter. The queen had wasted hours with her little game. I didn’t know what she had been hoping to gain from it but it was obviously something. I was just hoping it wouldn’t take her another few hours or even days to get her to tell us what it was.
“Enough.” She waved away Rhyders clumsy bow. “We are all friends here there is no need to stand on ceremony my young wolf friend.”
