Rhyder “I’m going as well.” My voice came out steady and even. Calm almost but inside I didn’t feel calm. My eyes found Bellas floating body. I let them travel the length of her body. She was still beautiful but it was a cold kind of beauty now. Almost as if she was a marble statue. Something to look at but not something to you could touch and love. I had done that. Made her into that lifeless shell. Me. Never, not in a million years did I think I would cause this much pain to the one I was meant to love above all others. Bella was my mate. The girl I had gone against my family for, the woman I had risked my life to keep safe. And in the end I had been the one to destroy her. Me!
