Cryptic Message

Ezekiel POV: Lying here in my bed and I can’t help but think about her. “& why do you think that is young wolf,” Easel says sarcastically. “I know what you keep saying, but how, I’m too young this has never happened before, how do you know?” I ask. Easel let out a low growl before answering me, “I have lived through many human cycles, as you know you know, the King of all kings has entrusted me to guide many of your ancestors and Emie, my mate, has joined me in each life. I am here with you but my soul is able to travel to the ethernal realm whether you are awake or at rest. I have seen Emie many times there and she has shown me the human for whom she is aligned with in this life. The time has come for me to become whole once more and reunite with my other half in the physical world, and you must do the same young wolf. Things are about to take a turn for the worst and we must be at our strongest when that day comes.” Now my heart is racing, before I was confused but now I am afraid. “What do you mean a turn for the worse? And what about Amiaz? Is Erika his mate too?” I whisper into my subconscious, not really wanting to know the answer to my first question. “Everything will be revealed soon young wolf,” Easel responds and without uttering another word, Easel stands up and a glass door appears behind him, he walks through and disappears. “That son of a b***h,” I shout aloud annoyed by Easels abstruse behavior. I had hoped to wait to tell Amiaz about Erika but all of this is just way too heavy for me. I try and link Amiaz but he has a block up, usually I would just text him but if he’s on his phone already he’d never look at it so I keep pushing on the link. “Zeke what the f**k do you want! You done gave me a damn headache,” Amiaz yells back through the link. “I wouldn’t of had to push if you hadn’t blocked me! I need you to come to my room it’s important,” I say back to my brother. “I swear this better not be like the time you got your fingers stuck in the vent.” Amiaz says jokingly. Before I could respond I hear a knock at my door, I jump up to unlock it, pulling him into my room and locking the door. I grab my brothers arm pulling him into the closet, at the furthest end of my room. “Zeke what are you doing!” Amiaz says as he smacks my hand off of his arm, “don’t tell me you trying to come out the closet too, its not supposed to be a literal thing bro, but to each their own,” he says struggling his shoulders. “Amiaz, this is serious! Please can you just not joke right now!” The grin that once filled the lower half of my brother’s face has disappeared and is replaced with concern. “I found my mate… I mean our mate… maybe,” I continued telling Amiaz the rest of the story, including my conversation with Easel. “So you’re telling me that you found our mate, it’s a girl, and she ain’t even one of the baddies? Oh hell no!” Amiaz says. “Amiaz, did you even hear the part about the mysterious bad s**t that is coming,” I asks my brother, adjusting my tone to match the seriousness of the situation. “Yeah, yeah Zeke I heard all about it. Baby we are werewolf’s, two human decades is the longest period of time that we’ve gone without a war and that’s because those old bastards hid so well from the enemy that they had trouble finding each other’s packs. Now back to Elizabeth, do you know her Name on Packspace?” He says turning his head to the left. “Her name is Erika and no, but you’ve seen her before, she is the girl with the huge Afro ponytail, who always wear the red sweatshirt.” I say as I open the closet door walking back into my room. Amiaz scrunches his face as if he is trying to recover memories from his nose, “oh my goodness, the poor girl with the drunk momma?,” he asks genuinely shocked. “Yup, that’s her,” i responded as I lay down, throwing a baseball into the air above my head. Amiaz POV: “This can’t be happening, I thought maybe Tobias, or Shade, hell maybe even Cameron, but not her, damn.” I accidentally say aloud, prompting an immediate emotional reaction from my brother. “What do you mean, she’s beautiful! I mean yeah she’s poor but even you’re not that messed up,” says Zeke. “That’s not what I’m saying…ugh, what I mean is…” I say scrambling for the right words so that I don’t sound any worse than I already do. “You know how hard it was for me after I came out as bisexual. You were literally my only friend for three years before it became a fad and everybody started testing the gay waters. I can’t be alpha and even if I was the oldest the elders would never allow anyone like me to ascend. Rocky will become a boring socialite who secretly hate her life and you will become a 1st command warrior as it’s always been. I just figured with the right mate, maybe I would have a seat on the high counsel, but you know everything is a popularity contest here. Erika is beautiful, but if she is truly my mate, I fear that people will only focus on her past,” I say to my brother, lowering my head in defeat. “You never told me you wanted to be on the high council? Dad could secure you a seat tomorrow if that’s what you truly wanted,” my brother says with a quizzical look on his face. “Yeah but it wouldn’t be the same as earning it. No one respects council member Hughes because we know his grandfather is the only reason he’s there. I want to be more than the alphas openly gay son. I know it’s stupid, but I just really want to make a name for myself Zeke.” I say slightly embarrassed by my confession. I am never this honest with anyone besides my brother but I still get nervous even around him sometimes. “Okay, look we’re not even sure that Erka is your mate too. Let’s handle one thing at a time and if she is then I will surrender my services as your campaign manager for the next election and there is no way you’ll lose with me on your team.” Zeke says with a grin looking cornier than the statement he just made. I laugh and we make a pact to go to Erika’s house later and get some answers. After sitting in Zekes room for a while and coming up with a strategy on how we were going to approach Erika, I found myself wondering down the hallway heading back towards my room. I wasn’t completely honest with Zeke. I know the mate bond will make me feel something for Erika but what if she isn’t attracted to me. Zeke and I are identical face wise but we differ physically. I don’t look like the average wolf from an alpha family. My dad, Eros, and Zeke are well over 6’3, they are all mega buff and have a rugged look about them. On the other hand I’m barely 6’2, I’m skinny but toned, and there is nothing even remotely rugged about me. I have always had daintier features than my brother even before I came out, or exposed. All she wolfs look for the stereotypical wolf man for a mate, but I can’t compete with that. Not to mention, I’ve only been with two girls before and the first one treated me like some social experiment. The other girl Ariel was my girlfriend but we were in a thruple with this guy Jason and well Jason turned out to be more gay than straight so that relationship ended rather quickly. I know that I am bisexual but the way that I look has always forced me into a box, one by which I am just more comfortable in as it includes a lot of closeted and confused wolves from the hockey team. Whether or not Erika accepts me, I will do whatever I can to make our mate happy for my brothers sake. He was the only one truly there for me that year Taylor Peterson exposed me to the pack.
