~A few days later~
I was back in the garden, struggling to find my stepbrother when the rogue jumped in front of me. Why were the alarms not sounding? There was no way that the rogues would get this far without the alarms going off. Most higher ranks had been gone looking for Landon, but that shouldn’t make a difference. Our pack was quite advanced and didn’t need the alpha and beta present to prevent or stop rogue invasions.
I was about to shift when I felt the handkerchief cover my mouth. The grip around me was impossibly hard, making me focus all my strength and attention on getting out of the hold. It couldn’t be a rogue though? Since when are rogues so organized? Why isn’t Theodore helping me? He was just calling me to come out.
