I must have left them utterly speechless, their jaws hanging open in disbelief. They were too shocked to say anything.
After that intense conversation, I retreated to my room.
I wash away the day’s stress in a warm shower before sinking into the comfort of my bed.
I lay on my stomach, the fabric of the sheets cool against my skin, hoping the cramping pain in my abdomen would subside soon.
