I had to admit that I was a little surprised – and a little curious about Selene’s confidence…and her very favorable offer. But I knew better than to let my emotions show. So, instead, I confirmed her terms.
“So.” I stared her down, not being able to help the smirk that played at my lips. “So, in order to prove that you’re not going to choose Derek again, you’ll give me evidence of all your plans to expose him, which I can use to expose you should you back out on our deal and try to pretend it never happened.”
She nodded, but I held up a hand to keep her quiet.
“And, more importantly, you’ll agree to be my Luna?”
She nodded again, looking a little less confident.
I tried to keep calm, keep control of the situation, but I couldn’t help my wolf stirring excitedly in my chest.
