Hi, I just wanted to put this quick note here to let everyone know why I haven't started this book yet. My original intention was to start it ASAP, but I had some rather exciting things happen. One of my story ideas got picked up by a publisher and will be in brick and mortar stores Fall 2022 as well as available for sale online.
The book will be called "Gem of the Sea" and needs all my attention, so I cannot start my new project as I had hoped. Full Moon King will still be updated since the comic script is fully written and just needs to be reformatted to novel style (comic releases on other platforms will go on as long as funds allow). However, it may not be updated every day anymore as I have to split my time. I will still update once a week minimum on it.
For those that are interested this is the blurb for "Gem of the Sea". This will be more of an older teen book, so it won't have as much spice as I plan for Full Moon King, but I hope those that like my writing will still take the time to read and enjoy it.
Synopsis: Atlantis, home of the Merfolk and human Atlanteans, is a continent with perfect weather and thriving trade routes. They’re known for their advanced medicine, dazzling fireworks, and a week-long mysterious festival called Ocean’s Gift. Sixteen-year-old Pearl and her father venture to this island to try their luck and set up a family fish stall, but tragedy strikes on the High Seas. Pearl’s father is killed by pirates while she's taken and sold in the Atlantean Black Market. A desperate mother buys her from the pirates to replace her daughter; who was chosen to be in the festival. Pearl quickly learns that the festival wasn’t a celebration, but instead a sacrifice to the Merfolk.
If you're wondering how I got this book in front of a publisher, surprisingly, they actually read books from this app from time to time and are part of the Dreame f*******: group. If they like the quality, writing style, and plot they will approach and see if there are any other books they are about to write for the kid-teen age group. It just kinda goes from there. Anyways, thanks for reading my little explanation and I promise to bring Estrella to life as soon as "Gem of the Sea" is done telling Pearl's story.
