PART-08 A Thousand Shadow

1145 Words
“Dad…, where are you? Why is Mbak Ida alone?” Saka's voice only sounded like a whisper in Wisanggeni's ear, but it was enough to become a storm in Wisanggeni's heart. Thundering like lightning and able to make him freeze. I'm not able to count how long Wisanggeni froze in his place where he stepped. Ki Sudarsana approached him very carefully. He held Wisanggeni's shoulder but, what happened, he was instead slammed by Wisanggeni. "It's me...! it's me...!'' he screamed in fear while gasping for air in pain. His body was crushed. Wisanggeni was already gripping the collar of Ki Sudarsana's shirt with his left hand and his right hand was already clenched into a fist ready to launch a fist. Wisanggeni released his grip, he fell to the ground gasping for air. Wisanggeni was also in shock. For almost beating up an innocent person. After the two were able to catch their breath and calm down, they began to stare at each other. Both of them are still hard to understand. After a while, finally Wisanggeni looked down. He took a deep breath. "Since when is this?" Asked Wisanggeni. What Wisanggeni has meant, since when Fareda was made as a Jagrak. Ki Sudarsana was stunned for a moment, trying to digest the meaning of Wisanggeni's question. Finally, Ki Sudarsana answered, "since childhood, she has been targeted since she was in the womb." Ki Sudarsana paused for a moment, then continued his sentence. "As you also know, not just anyone can be used as a JAGRAK." "Yes I know." “Ordinary humans, how could their bodies be able to accommodate a thousand jinn, devils and demons? While one possession will disappear or die if it is allowed to continue in the body, it dominates his soul, and then displaces his life." "Yes, it is true." "Then?" "Then? What do you mean?" "I mean what really happened to Fareda?" “Honestly, she is the same as being sacrificed.” "As we both know, not all sacrifices are successful." "Fareda is a failed sacrifice?" "Not completely." "What do you mean?" "She's still in their custody." "They?" “The Leader and the Seven Shadow Troops.” "The leader?" "Yes." Ki Sudarsana seemed to be thinking hard, as if trying to find the right words. "We must not mention names. If we dare to say names, then we and our entire family will be killed in the most terrible way. Not only that, he will confine our spirits and our families to being abused.” There they were silent. I'm not able to count how long. Both of their faces were frozen and their faces were hard to decipher. There was horror and worry on the faces of the two. "We'll talk about our next steps at home. Fareda needs us now. We have to go back,” said Ki Sudarsana, breaking the ice. After he finished his sentence, Wisanggeni nodded with certainty. Then the two of them stood up, signaling the two of them to give each other a signal to leave the Forbidden Forest. The next second, the two of them were already flying like the wind and out of sight. It was almost noon when the two entered the hospital corridor. People who passed by both looked strangely and horrified at Wisanggeni. His clothes are in really bad condition , and can even be called like a madman. His face was wrinkled, his hair was messy, his body was dirty. His clothes were torn here and there. So do not be surprised if anyone who passed him looked at him with a strange look. The two of them entered the room where Fareda was being treated. There were Magdalena, Saka, and Nina. They were so shocked, their faces looked like they couldn't believe it. Almost simultaneously, they asked, "what happened, Dad?" "Nothing happened. Ah..., eh..., how is Fareda?" Wisanggeni replied nervously. The three of them seemed confused by his answer. But trying to hide it. They already understood that Wisanggeni did not like to be interrupted or chased into telling him what had happened. When the time comes, he will definitely invite them to sit down and tell a story. The next second, Saka rushed over and hugged him. I have no idea what Saka is thinking, for sure he understands that his son is able to read what really happened to him. He immediately carried Saka and whispered, "Daddy is fine and it's thanks to you." Saka tightened his hug. Wisanggeni brought Saka closer to Fareda. While Ki Sudarsana seemed to be chatting with Nina and Magdalene, they seemed close. Wisanggeni sat on the edge of the bed and Saka was in his lap. Then he checked Fareda's pulse. "Still weak," he thought. He looked at Ki Sudarsana as if pleading for something. The man understood his gaze. He approached Fareda and checked her veins, he took a deep breath. "Looks like we'll have to stay here tonight together." he half-mumbled as he stared intently at Wisanggeni, who was staring at him with a definite nod. "What did the doctor say, Magdalene?" Wisanggeni asked his wife. The one who was asked took a deep breath and then said, "the doctor said, she hasn't passed her critical period yet." Wisanggeni took a deep breath. There was obvious concern on his face. After that, they were all silent with their own thoughts. ***** After Isya's prayer, Wisanggeni and Ki Sudarsana were seen walking hand in hand. The two of them rushed into the hospital corridor to the Fareda room being treated. Moments later, Magdalena was seen leaving Fareda's room. As the two of them had planned, they would stay in the hospital tonight. Once the two were inside the room, Wisanggeni asked the nurse assigned to look after him to leave the room. "Tonight you can rest suster, we will take care of it." "Okay sir." The nurse left the room. Wisanggeni stared at the nurse until she disappeared behind the door. After that, he closed the curtains hanging sweetly on the window and closed the door. As if he didn't want to be bothered by anything. Apart from medical, Wisanggeni must try other ways. He glared at Ki Sudarsana and both nodded with certainty. The next second, both took their respective positions and sat cross-legged. Place their hands in front of the chest and close the eyes. After a while, the two of them were seen standing, while their bodies were still cross-legged. The two of them looked around the room and saw a lot of people in the room, standing still holding hands, (folding their arms behind their backs) and looking alert. As if he was guarding the Sapu Jagat. Their gazes are directed to one point, namely towards the Fareda. They don't seem to blink. "WHO ARE THEY?" ________________________________ TO BE CONTINUE
