Amelia’s POV The night has settled over the pack grounds like a dark velvet blanket, stars twinkling faintly above the trees that encircle the house. The last guests drift through the main hall, laughter and conversation still murmuring in the background, but it feels distant, almost muffled, compared to the tension gathering in the entryway. I watch Elsa moving between the door and the car, her steps sharp, hands clenching the straps of her bag as though she might hurl it at someone if given the chance.
