Fallon POV
We walk into the house and he quietly leaves for his room while I make lunch. A knock at the door pulls me from my thoughts
“Hey sweetheart” uncle Cayden says
“Hey uncle Cay. You okay?” I ask looking at his face, he looks worried and tired
“Yes I’m fine, your dad back yet?” he asks
“Yes, we just got back”
“You went after him?”
“Yup, he’s just tired. I don’t think he’ll be available today” I say and he smiles, gives me a warm hug and whispers
“He’s lucky to have you sweetheart. I’ll come by later” he says and I nod closing the door. I plate our food and take it up to his room
“Dad” I knock but it’s silent
“I’m coming in okay, cover the jewels” I joke but he doesn’t even chuckle. His curtains are drawn, his room dark as he sits on the floor in his shorts, his shirt stil
