To say this hurt would be a lie. This hurts on a level you can’t explain to anyone. But I used Dean’s advice, every day is hard, getting up is hard, going to sleep in the bed we shared is terrible but like he said it did get easier. After a few months I found my new rhythm. I’d tell Fallon everything I could about her mom and grandparents. I told her how her grandpa was a decorated war hero, how her grandma was the most amazingly loving person I’ve ever met. But her mom, oh boy her mom was something. Talking to my baby daughter, telling her about them somehow made me feel better too, I spoke to Violet on the real bad days, even Dean would check up on me when I had a terrible day and it made me feel better.
