Chapter 9 Karl grabbed Deepan and then dived to the floor, splinters and broken glass raining down on them. Karl tugged Deepan out of the way and back into the kitchen. “Stay down.” He grabbed his boxers and pulled them on. “Call 911.” “What about you?” “I’m going to do my job and find the fucker who’s just blown up my front door.” Karl reached up and grabbed his holster, tossing that aside as he took the safety off his gun. “Now call 911!” Not waiting for Deepan to protest, Karl padded back to the hall. Keeping well to the side, he tiptoed towards the front door, which was now a complete mess. There was just no door there anymore.
