Chapter Thirty-Four
Hannah had been given an appointment with Mrs Jennings. She proved to be in her mid-thirties, rather younger than most of Hannah’s clients. She was a good-looking woman with long dark hair which she wore loose. Her lipstick was bright red and her eye-shadow generously applied. She had a full figure, which she showed off to advantage in a black satin blouse, unbuttoned to reveal an impressive cleavage, and a short black pleated skirt, which displayed her excellent legs to good effect. When Hannah arrived she found another girl there. “This is Rosa,” Mrs Jennings said. “She comes via Mrs Lockhart. I am told she is apt to be a little sulky, but I’ve already told her she shouldn’t try any of that with me. I can be very strict.”
