Chloe walked in, then spotted a familiar brunette struggling to pull a pile of books from her locker.
“Boo!” Chloe squealed as she ran over, wrapping her arms tightly around Kate from behind.
Kate screamed, startled, then laughed and turned, dropping her books. “Oh my god! Chloe?! Where the hell have you been?”
Chloe grinned, her dimples showing. “Did you miss me?”
Kate hugged her again. “Without you, this school has been dead boring. Seriously, it’s like you were the only one holding the group together. “You’re the life of this school!”
Chloe looked around with a raised brow. “Where’s the rest? Where’s everyone?”
Kate shrugged. “Maybe they’re around somewhere.”
Chloe nodded thoughtfully, then leaned in close. “You have to tell me what’s been going on. I need all tea.”
