Guys Night Out

Alpha Maddox POV * Mate hasn't called us* Reid was giving me hell today after we dropped off Callie. We weren't even home a full 45 min when I felt his agitation pick up. I had been ignoring his pacing because I had work to do but buy 5pm he had become unbearable. *She should have called us by now. You need to go check on her. You probably scared her away. Go to her. Make sure she's ok.* "Yes because the stranger that tongue f****d you in a café restroom lurking around you house after hours is totally gonna make her swoon." I felt Reid roll his eyes. *I don't hear you coming up with any answers* "Because I don't need to. It's only been a few hours. Give her time. She's literally ONLY HUMAN." With that Reid huffed and sulked into the recesses of my mind. He definitely left a heavy sadness in my head tho that had me wanting to get out this damn office. I mindlinked my Beta and Gamma. "What are you guys getting into tonight?" My Beta Cade replied first "Whattttt!? The big bad alpha wants to come out and play?" I rolled my eyes. My Gamma Lucas decided to hop on the bandwagon "All work and no play makes Alpha a dull wolf." "Yeah yeah if I wanted to be insulted I'd call my father. So are you guys going out or not?" "Of course we are now! You never come play with us anymore. We'd love to go out. Where were you thinking?" "I don't know. But I don't want it to be in pack territory. I don't want any she-wolves getting the wrong idea or rumors being spread." "Leave it to the Alpha to want to party but not get caught." Lucas snickered. "I know of a pretty nice sports bar in town. They have a special for Monday Night Football. Wings and shitty beer all night." "Sounds good to me" Cade chimmed in. "Great, I'll meet you guys downstairs in 30 min." I closed the mindlink and went to get ready. I picked out a casual outfit. A nice pair of dark jeans and a black tee shirt. I grabbed the keys to my blacked out TRD 4runner and headed downstairs. The guys were practically buzzing with their excitement. They make it seem like I never hang with them. I do. It's just usually work related. So I guess their bright eyed bushy tailed looks aren't completely unwarranted. "Can you two chill out? I'm not exactly trying to let the whole world know I'm going out." "Whatever you say boss" Lucas is definitely one to push my buttons. I growled at him and he straightened up. "Let's go." In the human world I've only been legally able to drink for a 2 yrs. In the werewolf world you can drink human alcohol at 16 and stronger alcohol as soon as you get your wolf. That is to say, I was not new to this. Human alcohol was practically water to wolves that have already had their first shift. My Beta Cade got his wolf at 16 with me. It's common for an early shift in an alpha to cause some other preliminary shifts. Usually those of his beta and gamma. Cade was practically a brother to me. My mom's best friend's son, we were pretty much raised together. Now my Gamma Lucas is a different story. I met him at Alpha training. We hit it off immediately. He had 3 older brothers before him but because he had alpha blood he still had to go to training. Finding his survival skills astonishing and his ability to strategize perplexing I offered him the position. It wasn't unheard of for a third, or more, in line alpha to become the beta or gamma for another alpha. He accepted right away and our parents ok'd the bond due to it giving us another pack alliance. Cade and Lucas were my best friends and if anybody could get my mind off Callie, it'd be them. As soon as we got to the bar Reid perked up. I noticed his change in demeanor but decided to ignore it, assuming he was just happy to be out for something other than work. We walked in and asked to sit at the bar. The host was obviously affected by us as she couldn't stop blushing or batting her eyes at us. It was a pathetic appeal but my very unmated Beta and Gamma were giving her everything she wanted. *Yuck. She doesn't even hold a match to our mate.* I had to agree with him. Callie was perfect. Hips, thighs, wings…. Wait wings? "Earth to Maddox, what flavor wings are you getting?" Lucas was snapping in front of my nose while Cade observed me come out of my trance. "Oh uhhhhh lemon pepper, extra wet and teriyaki." "TERIYAKI!?" Lucas dramatically gasped. "Is this a girl's night out? Forgive me I wasn't aware." I rolled my eyes. Lucas really didn't know when to stop sometimes. I was about to offer my rebuttal when all of a sudden the smell of fresh rain and spring flowers fanned my face. *MATE IS HERE.*
