CHAPTER 1: THE FIRST GLANCE
Amelia had everything money could buy.
She lived in a luxurious mansion with sparkling chandeliers, expensive furniture, and
Servants who attended to her every need. Her wardrobe was filled with designer clothes, and She drove cars that most people could only dream of owning.
To the outside world, her life was perfect.
People admired her beauty, envied her wealth, and wished they could live the life she had.
But behind her bright smile and elegant appearance was a loneliness she could never
explain.
Every morning felt exactly the same.
She woke up in her large bedroom, got ready for school, and followed the routine that had
become a prison. The laughter around her felt forced. The friendships she had seemed
shallow. Everyone wanted something from her, and she was tired of pretending that money could fill the emptiness she carried inside.
That particular morning seemed no different.
The sun shone brightly over the city as Amelia's driver pulled up at the university gate.
Students walked in groups, chatting and laughing as they headed to their classes.
Amelia stepped out of the car and adjusted her bag over her shoulder.
As usual, several students turned to look at her.
She ignored them.
She had grown used to the attention.
But just as she was about to enter the campus, something caught her eye.
A young man stood near the gate speaking quietly to one of the security guards.
His clothes were simple and slightly worn. His backpack looked old, and his shoes had Clearly seen better days. Yet there was something unusual about him.
The security guard seemed to be questioning him about his student identification card.
Most people in that situation would have become nervous or desperate.
Not him.
He stood calmly, explaining himself with confidence and respect.
Amelia found herself watching.
There was no fear in his eyes.
No attempt to impress anyone.
No fake smile.
Just honest.
For reasons, she couldn't understand, she couldn't look away.
The young man eventually reached into his bag and handed over a document. After Checking it, the security guard nodded and allowed him inside.
As he walked through the gate, he briefly looked up.
For a second, their eyes met.
Amelia quickly looked away.
Her heart skipped a beat.
That had never happened before.
She didn't know who he was.
She didn't know his name.
She didn't know where he came from.
Yet something about him felt different from everyone else she had ever met.
The rest of the day passed in a blur.
During lectures, her mind kept drifting back to the mysterious stranger at the gate.
Why was she thinking about him?
Why did she care?
It made no sense.
By the time classes ended, she had almost convinced herself to forget about him.
Almost.
As she walked across campus toward her car, she spotted him again sitting alone beneath a
tree.
While other students chatted and laughed around him, he sat quietly reading a book.
He seemed completely comfortable being by himself.
Amelia slowed her steps.
For a moment, she considered walking over and introducing herself.
But she stopped.
What would she even say?
She shook her head and continued walking.
Still, she couldn't ignore the strange feeling growing inside her.
For the first time in years, someone had caught her attention not because of wealth, status, or popularity
But because he seemed real.
And as Amelia drove away that evening, she found herself wondering about the stranger she Had seen twice in one day.
Little did she know that meeting him would change her life forever.
