Chapter 31When I got back to my room and logged in again, Khalid was on the phone with Gilford. I smiled. At least the plan seemed to be working.
Khalid was saying: “...I understand. But where...” Talya was sitting beside him, trying to put her ear near the receiver. He pushed her away. She didn’t like that. She was going to fight but he grabbed her hand and kissed it. “But John will know where it is... We’ll be there as quickly as possible.” When Khalid hung up, Talya glared at him.
“Don’t, Talya. You shouldn’t reprove me before knowing what I may be guilty of doing. Just hear me out first, and then if you still think I deserve berating, you are welcome to do it.” All the while saying this, he held Talya’s hands firmly, preventing her to do him harm.
