" I've been worried sick about you!", Laura said walking into her bedroom.
Ella stood there looking at her with a puzzled face. She never expected to see Laura at her house at this time. She looked at Laura's worried face and she smiled, she could feel that the tension between them was no longer there. The fact that her friend was worried about her brought her some relief.
" I tried calling you several times", Laura said bringing her back to reality.
Ella remembered her phone which she had left in the bathroom next to the washing basin. It was soaked from the rain and probably would not turn on again. Her phone had been the last thing on her mind, she had more important things to worry about.
"My phone... it's off. It got soaked", Ella said when she finally found her voice.
