Every wolf fell silent and turned wary eyes toward the group walking through the door.
After I handed the pack over to Kael, he had clashed with Liam's pack during his very first hunt. From that day on, the two packs had been sworn enemies. Whenever the two of them crossed paths, a brutal fight was guaranteed.
At first, the packs were evenly matched. But a year ago, Liam had contracted feral wolf sickness during a hunt. Everyone said he would be dead within the year, and Kael had written him off entirely.
