Ashley was washing some vegetables in the sink. Adam was in the kitchen with her, Asher in his arms. “I went through all of the pictures you took and it is safe to say you guys had a lovely time...”
She smiled at him. “We did. Asher seemed to have the most fun amongst the three of us...”
Adam laughed.
They had returned yesterday, Henry had rushed into the office to address an issue that needed his urgent attention. She could have let the maids prepare dinner but she loved cooking for all of them and so she had sent them away to do the cooking herself.
“You know it was much needed. We had all and our fair share of problems this past year...”
He nodded in understanding.
“The last vacation with his family was an absolute disaster, more unnerving than it was relaxing.”
