Within the gloomy confines of the Alpha's den, Elvis Smith the Third sat alone in a Jidimly lit room. His pale face was illuminated by the flickering flame of a single candle, his expression as stony as the statues that lined the walls. His deep blue eyes were locked on the open book in his hands, but he was not reading. His thoughts were elsewhere.
As the Alpha's third son, Elvis had always felt like an outsider. He was a loner by nature, preferring the solitude of his library to the company of others. His introverted personality made him a curiosity to his family and a target for ridicule from his peers. It wasn't until he reached his twenty-eighth year that he truly began to feel the weight of his curse. His father, the powerful Alpha Kyan Smith, had begun to pressure him to find a mate. But Elvis was reluctant, fearing that his dark and isolated nature would only bring pain to any potential mate. He had earned the title of "The Cursed Alpha," a moniker that seemed to follow him wherever he went.
It was as if the universe had deemed him unworthy of happiness, destined to remain alone and misunderstood. As the pressure from his father mounted, Elvis began to feel a heaviness in his heart, a longing for something he couldn't quite name. He was a shadow in his own life, drifting through the days with no sense of purpose. But deep down, he held onto a sliver of hope that one day, he would find his place in the world. His destined mate.
While in his room Elvis received a knock on his door. "Who is it?" He queried with his voice lace with annoyance. "Open up you brat" Greg the first son of Alpha Kyan sounded off with the same attitude.
Elvis ignored it and continued to focus on his book. Greg continued to bang the door, " I said open up you-"He suddenly felt a cold shrill presence behind his back and made a swift duck just in time to avoid the claws of the fierce-looking Elvis who had a a bloodthirsty gaze fixed.
"What do you want?" Elvis growled. Greg scoffed. "Is that any way to treat your elder brother and the future alpha of this clan?"
"I have no interest in your games, Greg," Elvis snapped. "If that's all you came here for, then I suggest you leave before I lose my patience."
The tension in the room was palpable, and for a moment, it seemed like the two brothers might come to blows. But then, as if remembering himself, Greg let out a long sigh. "Very well" he chuckles. " I won't let you steal my spot as the next Alpha of this clan you Cursed son of a b***h. "
"I don't care" Elvis replied sharply making Greg fume. "Is that all? Make it quick your sight makes me sick!" Elvis's claws grew longer.
A deep growl rumbled from Greg's throat as he glared at Elvis. "I, Greg Smith, challenge you to a fight for the right to be alpha. May the strongest wolf win."
Elvis snarled in response, his eyes flashing with anger. "I accept your challenge. We shall fight until one of us is unable to continue. May the gods have mercy on the loser. Now get lost." he opened the door to his room and went in closing the door shut on Greg's face.
" Brat!" Greg cursed and walked out.
Elvis took his position on his reading table and sighed. " What an absurd move" he chuckled darkly.
The moonlight shone brightly allowing its rays to pass through the open window of Elvis's room. He finally dropped his book and rested his back against the chair he was sitting in and closed his eyes when something phenomenon happened.
The wind carried a fragrance of something so strong and tempting that instantly awoken something unfamiliar in the Dark Alpha Alpha's system. His eyes flew open sharply and his heart began to thump hard against his chest. He winced and gritted his teeth hard. What the hell was going on? He questioned and stood up from the chair with a pale manifestation.
His thought instantly shifted to his brother's peculiar visit. His stomach crunched, and he groaned. Something was wrong. He tried to block his nostrils from inhaling the scent but could not bring himself to do it.
He unexpectedly went to his window and smashed it open tearing the glasses and iron that served as a barrier and jumped out like a mad dog. He trailed the scent and in less than a minute miles away from the Alphas den within the omegas quarters existed a female. A female? She was tied to a pole in the omegas servants' quarters.
Immediately his sight caught the female looking tattered his wolf became more active than usual, 'Mate! Mate! Must save Mate! 'Elvis's body was shaking at that moment. He started walking closer and the more he did the more his heart sank upon looking at her state.
"How lovely" he heard her whisper gazing at the moon. Wait?! Mate? He paused. "Mate" his voice became shaky and nervous. What was that?
"Who are you? " the female suddenly sounded off. He panicked and left the area just as fast as he came after hearing someone's approaching steps.
In his room, she pondered on what just happened. The scent was stuck in his head and his wolf kept repeating the word 'Mate! Mate!'
"Shut up" his voice was cold and menacing just enough to frighten someone, but his wolf seemed unbothered and started. 'What are you going to do if I don't? ' it laughed.
Elvis sighed "Please just stop. He pleaded and his wolf paused for a minute. 'when will you go and get our mate? ' it asked.
'Are you serious? ' Elvis felt a combination of emotions. His heart thumped hard like never before, he oddly felt fear, nervousness and all other unexplainable mix of emotions." Am I happy? " he scoffed with an uncontrollable grin which he tried to hide but his body went against him. Trying to hide it from whom exactly?
