After Emma finished her shower, the phone suddenly rang, displaying a number she wasn’t eager to answer at the moment. Emma hesitated for a moment before picking up the call.

“At home.”
“Can we meet?”
Emma glanced at the clock. She had been at work all day and was now too tired to see Mark.
“Is something wrong?”
“I want to see you. The rumors from this morning weren’t true.”
