Nancy felt a bit suspicious about Emma's mysterious demeanor. Emma returned to the car after calling Ren to pick up David from the nightclub.
"Do you have something going on?"
"No, the company has been a bit busy lately, that's all."
Nancy didn't think much of it and nodded in understanding. It had been a long time since the two had a chance to hang out on the weekend, and Emma didn't want to waste it. She looked at the back of her car, which was now filled with clothes and jewelry. She couldn't believe that he wouldn't come looking for her after spending so extravagantly with David's card.
"Where should we go now?"
"I don't know either, you know I just came back to the country."
Emma had returned to the country not long ago, so she wasn't sure where to spend the rest of the weekend.
