When Aira woke up again, she found herself lying in her own bed. She had spent the entire night dreaming of running, and it left her feeling just as exhausted as before.
The clock on her nightstand showed that it was already afternoon. Aira suddenly remembered something—she had stood Benjamin up. He was going to be furious! She gasped, sitting up quickly.
She glanced at her phone. Sure enough, there were no replies from him.
'Is he okay?' she wondered.
Aira hurried over to Benjamin's house. She picked up her pace, ready to go in, but a servant blocked her path.
"Don't you recognize me? I was just here for lunch yesterday!"
Confused, she looked over and saw Martha approaching. She called out to her, "Martha, I came to check on Benjamin. How is he?"
