Lance POV
After Fio left furious, I took Gabrielle to the nearby cafeteria which was almost empty. I know Gabrielle had so many questions, but she gently followed me. After sitting down I heard her,
"Lance, what's going on?? Where is Fio?? And why are you looking…' complicated' ??" She asked with a worried face. I am sure she must not have guessed what I was about to say. I know it might hurt her a little, but I must share it now. The Sooner the better, but I am already a bit late. Day after tomorrow is our engagement and today she is going to know that it will never happen because I don't like her that way.
