Fated By A Mistaken Night

2. Night club

Fiona's POV

Fiona did not go to her apartment as she know it if be better to be outside than moping alone there. Soon She got Cathy's text to go to the DNA Lounge as it was her favourite night club among them.

Fio sighed deeply as she knows the weekend must be so crowded in that club. That is what she wanted right!! To escape from the miserable memories. She reached there in time and waited outside for Cathy. Fio could feel people looking at her as she passes by especially men. Whoops...Even it was too surprise for Ryan, she wore a sexy dress instead of her usual Tank tops and jeans...No, not again... She don't want to think about him, but everything reminds only of him.

She noticed Cathy waving at her from distance and she could see the surprise written on her face.

"What the..!! Fio, you look smoking hot babe... I never knew you had these amazing curves under your boring clothes..." Cathy was so excited that she was not caring about her voice was a bit loud. And the people were looking at them weirdly.

Fio took Cathy's hand and led her to a corner.

"Cathy, why are you being so loud... And you choose this club, see it is already crowded now...How can we get in as the line is never-ending...".

" Fio, you look amazing that is why I could not control shouting it at you. But the sunglass makes you a weirdo... it's already dark, remove it.."

Fio did not want to remove it as her eyes will be puffy. She never liked to cry in front of anybody. She doesn't need anybody's pity. She hates that thing. Fio was always a proud person, too proud that even though she is been to a filthy rich family, still she does freelance interior design jobs for her pocket money.

"Cathy, I want to use the restroom, after that, I will tell you everything is okay. But how are we going to get inside..." She was feeling anxious.

Cathy could feel that something was off with Fio. Normal Fio stands likes an energy source to others. But now Fio looks weak and feels tired.

"Don't worry about it. The floor manager is my cousin's best friend. I have already called him. So no waiting, come on let's get inside. But first, we can head to the restaurant as I am starving..."

Fio agreed. But Cathy was doing this for Fio, as she felt that she did not eat anything. They get into the club from another four which was meant for the workers there. Shortly Fio went to the restroom and removed her sunglass. Yes, she was right her eyes were puffy. She groaned.

She was not a person of makeup, but as today she planned special things, she had bought makeup items in her handbag. After washing her face with cold water, she felt better. She made her eyes smokey and lips glossy. Even though she was not a pro at this, but this time she did a good job. She did not apply anything as her skin was naturally creamy with a hint of flush in her cheeks. After she felt that nobody can find anything wrong with her looks she came out.

By that time Cathy has already ordered few dishes. It was mostly Mexican along with a pizza.

"I don't have the appetite...you eat.." Fio took the juice instead.

"Hm. I know you are in some trouble. But we won't talk about it until you eat any of it..." Cathy kept her stubborn face.

Fio know her well, she sometimes acts like her mother. As Fio did not have the mood to argue, she took a sope (Mexican snack) from the tray and started chewing it. Hmm. Even her favourite snack also feels difficult to swallow now.

"Tell me Fio, What is going on...?? I mean, you were supposed to be with Ryan celebrating your second anniversary. Last year, I did not even get a chance to see you on this day... And now, on this special day you wanted to see me...??"

"Cathy... I was always thought that even I took time in choosing something, I will be choosing the best. You know that Ryan was after me from the beginning of my graduation days. And two years ago only I accepted him, as I felt he was consistent no matter what and loved me so much... And after two years, when I am madly in love with him, he cheated on me.." She paused as she heart felt the pain of seeing them again...

"What...!! Ryan Pierce cheated on you..!!" Cathy said in disbelief.

Fio heard the question more than of a statement... She was shivering with the hurt and resentment. She clutched her first tightly around the glass that it broke and her hand was bleeding.

Cathy was so shocked by the news and before she could react properly, she saw Fio's hand was bleeding.

"What the...!!" Cathy rose to her side and wrapped her handkerchief in her hand. Thank God, it was a minor injury.

"Fio... please calm down...I know you're pissed and hurt too. But can you tell me what happened as the thing you just said is truly unbelievable...I mean, Ryan did not even look at any girls other than you. And he was always caring and loving you.."

"Stop saying that, Cathy... That son of a b***h was screwing some w***e when I went to surprise him today... He thought I was in Melbourne as I lied to him...So he must have thought I won't find his affair. God is with me, at least he opened my eyes just before I was going to give me precious to him.."

"That scumbag...how could he do this...How are you holding up?? how did you react...?? you must have beat them for the temper you have.." She guessed as per my well known short temper.

"No...I just left without being noticed. I have wasted two years of my life with him. But I am not ready to waste any more on him..."

"You are right, he doesn't deserve it..."

"Cathy, let's not talk about it for tonight please...all I wanted is to have some booze and forget the events of today.."

Then her phone started buzzing, and it showed Ryan Calling...

Her heart skipped a beat at the sight, but soon it was filled with hatred. She groaned. Cathy was observing the change in her face and took the phone from her hand.

"Let him go to hell..." She switched off the phone and returned to Fio.

"Come on let's head inside, even though you hardly visited other nightclubs with him, you never came here right...It is so fun here, especially on weekends... "

"You know, it was not my thing... But now I am feeling like I was too serious about my life that I was missing out on many things... I need to let it loose..." She said thinking back about her life.

Cathy was happy about this attitude than being in a depressed state. This is the Fio she knows...

"And you're absolutely right...So today we are going to celebrate your escaping from that cheating bastard... Are you up for it...??"

"Yes, I am in.." She finally smiled at Cathy. They moved ahead inside the club.

This club has been one of San Fran’s most popular clubs. They boast 2 stages, 4 dance floors, 7 bars, and a VIP lounge too. Fio was stunned by the visual treat inside. The loud music was exciting and the dance floor was already crowded. Cathy took Fio's hand and led her towards the bar section.

"Let's have shots to loosen up a bit then we will go to the dance floor..."

"Cathy, you know I don't drink anything other than wine or beer..."

"No this time, you will act as grown-up... you needed it, baby, take two shots of vodka. if you don't want it again, I won't pressure you. alright..??"

Fio nodded at her and took two shots with Cathy. She felt the drink was bitter and she could literally feel the warmth of the drink going through her body. After few minutes, Fio felt a little better. Cathy was right., she thought. So Fio again took two shots, but this time Cathy warned her.

"Fio, don't get drunk too much... We are here to enjoy not to get drunk. Let's go to the dance floor... if lucky, you will meet a hot guy to make you feel better... and who knows what will happen as the night is still young and long... See, there is the VIP lounge, only a few important guests are allowed there. If you are sober after the party, I will ask my friend for permission to go there."

"Alright, Cathy..."Fio followed Cathy and started moving with the beat. At first, she was feeling awkward, but quickly it changed into confidence. Fio closed her eyes and started to feel the rhythm in her body... She felt freer like this. Then, Cathy came to her side and whispered,

" Fio, Don't look on the bar side. Jason is here... And he smiled at me..." She was blushing while saying this. Jason was her crush ever since graduation. Fio knows maybe Cathy had a chance to talk to him, but hesitating because she will be alone. Cathy was bit tipsy, but she was used to it as she was a fan of partying.

"Cathy... don't waste your time with me... go and talk to him...Be impulsive, take the chances...go now..."

Cathy looked at Fio in disbelief, it was really hard to hear the contrary things from her mouth against her normal attitude.

"But, what about you...if you promise me that you will find someone and enjoy it then only I will go. Fio, you are the only girl left to pop the cherry in our class... As you said, take risks to enjoy the time... Let your adrenaline take over this night...No judgements... if you feel to do it, do it then...And if there is any trouble, call my friend okay he will be nearby.."

"You're overthinking... just go, Cathy...I will be fine... and I can take the cab back home...you don't need to worry..." She winked at her. By the look of Jason and her friend blushing, she knows where it is going to end...At least they can have a good time.

Fio went to the bar and had one more shot, then a weird guy appeared from nowhere to her side and started eating her with his eyes. He look rich by his appearance, but his moves were terribly wrong... Fio was uncomfortable by his approach and she turned around to move away. But he stood there in front of her.

"It is really hard to find a sexy girl standing alone in this club...and I found you...can I get you a drink sweet cheeks..?"He asked while eyeing her assets.

" No thanks... " She pushed him aside and moved to the dance floor. But the creep was not ready to get out of her tail. She was feeling a bit dizzy and she thought to get back home. But if she went sober back home, she will be in a miserable state by the memories. She wanted to get tired to such a limit that when she gets home. She could sleep without thinking about anything.

He got close to her while dancing and she tried to move away with the uneasiness, but as it was already crowded. It was so hard for her to do so. He started pressing him behind her back, her face flustered with rage and in a moment, she lifted her elbow and gave a sharp blow to his stomach as if it happened accidentally. She don't know him at all and wanted no trouble. But the creep held her waist by his hands and dragged her more close to him.

Before she could respond, She felt being pushed to the ground, but a strong arm was covered her waist and supported her while the creep went to the floor. Fio was confused about what just happened... The creep looked at her then the man behind her with rage, but soon his rage turned into fear. Within seconds the bouncers came and took him out of there. Then only Fio realised that her saviour's arm was still strongly wrapped around her trim waist from behind and they were too close to each other that his manly scent along with perfume filled her nostrils... She could feel his body against her because of their position, but this time she was not feeling creepy but somehow excited...
