Arthur struggled desperately in the mud, but the guard's heavy knee was pressed firmly into his back, pinning him down so that he could barely move, and the freezing, filthy water seeped into his mouth, mixing with the salt of his own tears. He forced his head up with enormous effort, his gaze traveling through the thick curtain of rain to find me standing at the center of the red carpet.
