Grayson's POV NEWLY WEDDED DAUGHTER OF BUSINESS MOGUL, PATRICK WILLIAMS LEFT IN SHOCK AS HER HUSBAND GRAYSON COLEMAN IS FOUND WITH ANOTHER WOMAN,MINUTES AFTER EXCHANGING VOWS; WE WONDER THE STATE OF THEIR MARRIAGE NOW. That was the headline when I woke up this morning. As much as I liked the writeup, it wasn't as effective as I wanted because I had found her in the house. "What are you doing here?" I asked, looking at the woman who I had thought would have walked out of the marriage last night. "Watching a movie." She said and rolled her eyes. "I don't mean what – what are you still doing in my house? You should be at your father's house by now if you really didn't want this marriage." I said turn off the TV. She turned to look at me, rage burning in her eyes "You think that rubbish you pulled off last night was funny? What did you do that for?" "Maybe if you haven't gotten the memo, I need to spell it out for you, I don't f*****g want this sham of a marriage and if you know what's good for you, you would pack up and leave already." I barked at her. "You sound like a baby crying for his mother's milk, you think you can change our parent's mind with this childish rebellious act? Listen, I get you don't want this marriage and heaven knows I don't too but if you think disgracing my father and I is the way to go about it, then you're in for a long time. I won't warn you again." She said and turned on the TV. "Childish rebellious act? I don't know how much you might have collected from my father but trust me, I won't stop till I see this marriage end, get ready." I said I walked out to my room. I sat on my bed and thought about what had just happened, she didn't even flinch and her audacity to turn on the TV when I had just turned it off. She must be walking with my Dad, earlier I would have believed she was also against the marriage but right now, she is part of it. I heard my phone beeping, it was my Dad. Talking about the devil. "Hey Grayson, what was that rubbish you did last night? And why have I not been able to reach you?" He asked, his anger evident in his voice. "Dad, I told you that I don't want this, I don't want to marry her, if you want me to marry, I can get someone else." "Grayson, you know how important this is to the company, don't fumble it, I wouldn't mind giving the company to a beggar on the street, don't push me." He said and ended the call. That was always his threat, he knew the company was the only way to get me to behave, I had been working for the longest time to be fit to take over the company and he saw it as my weak point. This was my life and I was ready to do anything to protect it, even if it meant losing the company. ~•~ "You're not here with your wife? Where's she?" The interviewer asked as he looked around for her. "She's not here." I said, wrapping my arm around the waist of the girl I brought. "Uhmm...okay, this is weird." He said under his breath. "She's my girlfriend and I will answer the questions you have for me, if you can just proceed." I was at an interview that was supposed to be for me and my supposed wife but instead I had come with someone I was ready to introduce to everyone as my girlfriend. She was supposed to be a one night stand that I wouldn't meet again, the fact that a new day had ushered her in as my wife irked me, I was ready to go to all ends to stop this marriage. "Oh she's here." The interviewer announced and to my utter dismay, I saw her walking in. Giving that smile I hated so much, why was she coming towards me. "Hey babe," she said, bending down to peck my cheeks. "What the f**k are you doing?"I asked biting my lips. "Nothing." She said, smirking. "Hi dear." She said waving at the girl I had hired to pose as my girlfriend. "Uhmm, I don't understand what is going on here but we're glad to have you around Mrs. Coleman." The interviewer said shifting uncomfortably in his chair. "It's a pleasure to be here, I'm sorry for coming late, I had to make preparations so my husband would have something to eat when we get home." She said, flashing her teeth. What was she up to? "So, should we proceed with the interview?" He asked. "Yes please." She replied. "First off, I would like to congratulate you on your marriage, it has been the talk of the town." "Thank you very much, I didn't know it would get that much traction, I wanted something small but you know parents." She said smiling. "How has the marriage been this far? It's been a week already." "It has been okay, I've been playing my role as the good wife." I rolled my eyes. The interview continued for some hours, everything felt off, I don't know if it was what she said or the fact that she came but I ended up feeling stupid for taking things this far. When we got home, I pulled her to a corner "What was that rubbish you did back there? Why did you have to lie like that?" I asked not believing she could do that. "What did I do? You think I will let you humiliate my dad and I? Better put yourself together, let's both think of ways to end this before it ends us. I can't tolerate being in the same space as you." She said and walked off. I brought out my phone to check the news headline, surely the whole show might have changed something. Everything was in her favor, they were all supporting and painting her as the perfect wife. "f**k" I screamed. I needed to act fast.
