I stilled, then my pulse started to race.
“I—”
But just then, the hotel line telephone began ringing.
“I'll get it,” he said as he walked to the telephone stand.
As he spoke into it, a strange feeling engulfed me.
Not long after, he returned and told me something urgent came up and he was to go back to the Pack house.
“Let me go with you,” I demanded.
“No, stay here. There will be guards–”
“I'm going with you,” I insisted.
We arrived at the house some minutes later and I was met with a shocking presence.
I froze.
“Aria,” Alpha Killian called as he pulled me into his arms.
“I missed you so much!” He muttered, his arms wrapping around me.
Something whirred in my brain followed by my wolf’s low whimper.
