Meeting Nana-Belle

I looked at myself in front of the mirror one last time and checked for smudges on my lips. I learned to put light make-up on from watching YouTube. 

Tonight, I decided to wear a canary yellow summer dress and put my denim jacket on and my all-time favorite strappy sandals from MK. I sprayed my favorite Vanilla scent perfume and sent a message to henry.

Hey, I’m all set. Shall we go now?

Henry

I’m actually in front of your door, Chingu. I even saw Keith and Fipa leave.=)

C’mon! I’m starving.

I opened the door and I’m so bewitched. A hardcore oppa infront of me. My very own Oppa. Moveover Park Seo Joon! 

“You look neat, Oppa!”, I teased him.

“Not bad yourself, Chingu! I like that color on you! C’mon, I’m really starving. I craved that restaurant’s food when I made a reservation.

“Wow! I’m totally impressed! How come you’ve managed to book this romantic place?” I asked him with amazement. I really didn’t expect him to pull off this kind of stuff.

“Remember when I asked you in a kinda offbeat way and I told you I would make it up to you, right? So here i am delivering that promise, Sweetie.”

Damn it! Talk about spontaneity that may make a girl choke her steak. This man is really full of surprises and I can’t help but develop a feeling for him. This man will be my nemesis. I can feel it right through my nerves to the point it is giving me goosebumps!

Our dinner went well and we went early for the night since we need to be back home early.

I spent a few hours catching up with the new Kdrama that I’m watching and calculating how many hours I still have to sleep. Kdrama is life, right?

I have tons of school work when we go back home so I need this. I need inspiration and at least don’t think too much about Henry.

We arrived a wee bit early at home and decided to catch up on my Kdrama lists. It has been getting longer since this year if I’m not mistaken, was one of the best years in Korean and English TV series.

I was so focused watching Scarlet Heart Ryo and well, one of the effin’ saddest scenes I have ever watched was when I received a video call request from Henry.

Crap! I look like a rotten tomato, red nose, and puffy eyes. How am i going to answer his call?! Seriously, we just came back and he will call?!

Henry: 

Will you please answer your call?

I am in front of your house and I brought you honey glazed chicken and some ramen! I know you’re going to binge-watch today.

Me: Okay. I’m coming but please don’t judge my face! =’(

I opened the door and found him just wearing a simple white shirt and khaki shorts and a Nike cap.

Sigh! He looked like those summer-themed models from the billboards.

I covered my face and opened the door for him.

“Come in!, I told him. Let’s go at the back and I will introduce you to our Nana.

We found Nana at the back doing some gardening and talking to her plants.

“Nana! I want to introduce you to someone., I called her.

Nana get up and with her usual warm smile and wrinkly face.

“Hello! Are you a Korean idol or artist?, Nana asked him seriously.

I saw how Henry turned red out of embarrassment. Maybe he didn’t expect that coming from our Nana. haven’t we told you before that Nana is one of the coolest grandmothers on the planet? She can relate to the latest trend and all that. I really want to get old like her. Nana is not your typical grandmother. She’s open-minded, cool, and well a fashionista. She doesn’t really look like her age. 

“Good afternoon Nana!, My name is Henry. I am actually courting Belle. Is it okay for you?”, he asked Nana,

“Well as long as my Bella Belly likes you, who am I to stop you guys! Seeing my grandkids happy makes me happy. Stay here until dinner and I’m going to cook my specialty for you. Do you eat pork, Henry?” Nana asked him.

“Wow! Nana, you’re the sweetest! Can I give you a hug? Thank you for a very warm welcome. I am so touched!”

Henry keeps on bowing as he tells Nana to thank you.

“Well, I didn’t expect Belle! Nana is so nice. I wish I could live next door! I miss my Grandma back home.” 

“I know right?! I didn’t expect it from nana either! She likes you and now you really need to stay until dinner. So, do you wanna binge watch it with me? Hahaha!”

“By all means, what are you watching that made your eyes so puffy like that? he asked and pinched my cheek.

“Aw! That really hurts! I am actually watching Scarlet Heart and I didn’t expect that it will make me bawl my eyes out like that but since you’re here let’s watch a different one. How about The K2 by Ji Changwook?”

“I’m good, whatever. I’m just happy to watch it together with you.”.

Oh well, a few minutes after I played the series, Henry was already asleep on our sofa. That poor man is so tired from practice. So I just put a neck pillow on him so that he will be comfortable and well changed the series that I’m watching and lower the volume so he can rest while we wait for dinner time. 

I can’t help but glance at him from time to time. He looks so peaceful and like a baby when he’s asleep. There are some moments when he will ark his lips a little. He must have been having a good dream. 

It made me think that maybe I need to be brave enough to accept whatever is this emotion I am feeling right now. I think I am ready to try and never be afraid of commitment.
