AFTER DINNER-FIPA

Keith and I headed home first after our dinner with Belle and Henry but on our way home, we decided to drop by Keith's house before he sent me home. 

“Is your Mom and Dad at home, Keith? I haven’t seen them for ages!”, I asked him.

“I’m not sure about Da, but I think Ma is at home and I’m pretty sure she’s busy watching f*******: Live to shop.’

We arrived at his home and he parked his car in the garage, then I saw Aunt Liza coming out of the living room.

“Oh my! Oh my! Who do we have here! Fipa!!!”, my goodness you’ve grown really tall and gorgeous! I am so happy to see you my dear!”, she exclaimed.

“Good evening Aunt Liza, how are you? You haven’t aged at all!”, I hugged her tight and kissed her on her cheek.

“It has been a long time indeed! I miss the special snack that you prepare for us back then.”I told her.

“Oh! That! You should come over this weekend and I’ll cook for you”

“Okay ladies, as much as I want to hear your conversations but I need to go to my room first and freshen up. I have to get my gift for Nana as well”, Keith said.

I looked for him asking for answers about the gift but he just smiled and went to his room.

“As I was saying hija, please do come over this weekend and you can bring your cousin as well and I will ask Keith to invite Henry as well. You could swim and I’ll cook for you!”

“Thank you so much, Aunt Liza, I’ll tell belle and I will ask Nana's permission as well, I will let you know if we will come.”

“Okay! I’ll wait for you guys! I am so bored at home during the weekends and I can’t even go out you know!.” she added.

Keith went back to where we were and he said, “Ma, we’ll get going. It’s kinda late, I don’t want Nana to get worried.”

“Bye, Aunt Liza, see you next time. I’ll be back so that we can catch up and maybe we could Facetime my mom so you can talk with her.”

We arrived home almost at the same time as Belle and Henry. I saw Belle calling Nana so I didn’t bother to do so.

“Do you want some coffee or water, guys?” I asked them.

“No, thanks I’m good”, said Henry.

“Just a glass of water, please Babe. Thanks!.”

I get Keith his glass of water and when I get back Nana is there already and talking with the boys.

I was shocked by Nana's outburst that she’s really friends with Keith. Wow! I just looked at Belle with a secret conversation. This old lady is always full of surprises, that’s what I really miss the most when I’m far away from her. Nana and Belle are my rock, I never felt alone in Chicago as long as I could talk to them every day. Big thanks to technology.

“Babe, I want to spend more time with you but I need to go now. Coach texted me and we need to practice for a new play tomorrow. Can I see you after the practice?”.

“Alright, I’ll see you after, just send me a message if you’re done. I just need to finish a paper in the morning and I’m free after that.”, I told him.

What a long day. I never expected Keith to be this showy in front of people but somehow that makes me happy. I don’t think I would be able to get over this kind of feeling for him. I send a quick message to him as I go to my bed.

           Keith

              I hope you’re home. I’m ready to crash my bed now. I’ll see you tomorrow!

                                                    I’m home and in bed, Babe. See you tomorrow. I love you! 

I was about to sleep when suddenly I remember Aunt Liza’s invitation so I quickly call Belle and told her about it. It is settled that we will go on Saturday, we just need to tell Nana about it but knowing Nana, she will have no objections at all. She completely trusts both of us.

I wake up early to call mom and dad. I pretty much updated them with almost everything. What I like about my parents is that I can open everything to them. They’ve raised me to speak my mind and talk to them as a friend but with the respect that of course, they deserve. They were very supportive about my goals in life and they are happy that Keith and I were dating. We also talked about Aunt Liza and mom is kinda excited to talk to her via Facetime this weekend. I said goodbye after an hour of talking to them and I had a quick shower and did my homework before I went and met up with Keith.

“Good morning, Nana! Is Belle up already?,” I asked her as she is busy cooking breakfast.

“ When does your cousin ever wake up early? Dang! I would throw a party if that ever happens!”, she exaggeratedly said.

“Hahaha Nana, wait until Belle hears this!”, I told her.

“Well, I don’t care. This old woman is just telling the truth, ‘ya know!”, Nana said in a sassy tone.
