Zoe’s words about Sean’s reputation jumped to the front of my mind. Whoever this Catherine was, she was definitely not just a friend to him.
I could not help the jealousy that awakened inside me. She must be very close to him if she came to look for him at his house.
“I better go see about that,” he said.
“Yeah, go,” I said, holding the door open for him. I can’t believe I forgot what kind of guy he was. Did I think his playboy ways would vanish just because he met me? He came towards me and reached for me, but I stepped back. “You should go, Sean.”
