Chapter 37 - Jessie?
I was holding her phone when it started ringing. From an unknown number? I was having second thoughts whether to answer the call or just put it back to where. I gently pressed the answer button and listen on the other side without saying a word. “J- Jessie?” the voice was hesitant It was a woman on the other end of the line… For a while the line went silent. All I hear was a controlled sigh on the other end. As if she had sensed something is wrong, the caller did not speak another word and cut the call. I was left wondering why Bianca’s hiding this woman from me. She could be someone from her past as she was calling her Jessie. I turned off her phone and put it back on the bedside table.
