Jake walked into the empty kitchen. "Hello? Marge, Hank?" Jake called out. Silence except the hum of the cooler and the perking of the coffee maker that had been started sometime recently.
"Where are they all?" Ella asked while looking around the vacant kitchen. Jake walked toward the storage area and looked in. He came out of the storage area and shrugged his shoulders.
'Let's not delay. We need to leave. I really don't think that we should stay any longer.' Electra warned for the second time. Ella walked over to Jake. "Come on. Let's just go. Electra is getting edgy, and honestly I am too. I think we should leave." She held out her hand to Jake. He looked down at it surprised, and then took it and they both walked back to the kitchen door to exit.
