The Feels Part 2 (New Chapter)

****SCOTT POV****

I take a deep breath after I close the door. I walk to my room walking straight to the bathroom to splash cold water on my face. I decide to make things less awkward I will go grab Shanna other friends beta Vince and her friend Luke. I step back out of my room and head to the visitor side where visiting Alpha’s stay. I knock on Lukes room first. He opens the door with a little shock face. “Good afternoon Alpha Scott.” Luke greets me.

“Good afternoon Luke. I will be escorting Shanna to the dinner hall and wanted to see if you would be accompanying lady Gemma?” I ask.

“Of course. Let me grab my phone and we can meet the girls.” Luke turns to grab a phone from the near by desk.

We are shortly after greeted by beta Vince. “Hello Alpha Scott” We all head to meet up with Shanna and Gemma at the Luna suite. I gentle knock on the door. A flash of what happened earlier comes into my mind. When the door swings open to show Gemma and right behind her Shanna in a stunning emerald green dress. I literally lose my breath. I can see the wolves next to me also suck in a breath. Shanna in glowing. Like something is different from earlier. She seems more vibrant.

I step forward grabbing Shanna small hand into mine. “Wow you both look stunning” I state.

I see Luke taking my cue grabbing Gemma’s hand. Vince is giving Shanna a father look of what are you wearing; but I can’t take my eyes off this goddess and I don’t think any male will at dinner tonight. Now I see why her fathers beta has that look. He is very protective of her. I give Vince a nod showing I understand but also showing I will watch her. I start leading us down the stairs once Shanna gave me the go ahead.

We enter the dinner hall and the room goes quiet. I can see all my male wolves staring at the women beside me. Peter growls come from my chest and I pull Shanna close to me. Wrapping my arm around her waist. I can feel her skin under my hand. Noticing her dress is backless. I go to stand behind her. Not wanting the others to see what is mine. I start leading her to our table. I see Amy is already seated left of my chair. Normally Chance sits there. What is going on. I see Chance giving me a look. He mind links me “I tried to get Amy to change chair and she refuses.”

I am praying to the goddess that this dinner doesn’t turn into a disaster. I feel Shanna trying to pull away from me once she saw Amy staring at us. Amy has a death glare going towards Shanna. I feel Shanna aura changing. Her authority pouring into it. Showing who the Alpha was. I gently start to rub circles on her bare back pulling her close. I gently whisper into her ear.

“Pay her no attention. She is still upset from earlier.” I say trying to sooth Shanna’s temper.

I see Shanna snap her face up to mine. She is pissed. Even with her angry face she is absolutely stunning. “I see you still have unresolved relationships Alpha Scott!” She snaps.

I take a deep breath. “Will you give me a chance to explain myself? Please Shanna. Let’s not let this ruin the evening.” I squeeze her hand with a begging look. I don’t care if I look weak right now. Shanna is worth it.

“We will need to speak about this Scott among other things. Just keep your little girlfriend in line or I will.” Her voice has a hint of her wolf in them. Lila is feeling angry by Amy’s disrespect to her.

Alpha wolves take this as a challenge. Seeing how Shanna fought Alpha David during the Alpha Summit I know she can be deadly. Amy wouldn’t stand a chance against her. I know Shanna is holding her wolf back. I gently kiss her cheek. “I will keep her in line.” I reply.

I lead Shanna to the luna chair next to mine. I know it is a bold move but I don’t care I want her to be mine. I find Shanna an equal Alpha like myself and I respect her for that. She hesitates to sit down giving me a look. I lean into her and whisper. “It is either the chair or my lap. You choose?”

I see Shanna cheeks turn red and quickly takes the seat next to me. I pull her chair closer to me. I see people are still looking at the beautiful women next to me. My heart fills with pride knowing she is here with me. I quickly stand from my chair and let my voice fill the room. I want you all to welcome our guest future Alpha Shanna of the White Peak Pack. Make her and her guests feel welcome on their visit with us.

I go to kiss her hand that is resting on the table when I hear Amy speak. “What a lovely dress you have on tonight Shanna.”

I see Shanna’s gaze snap towards Amy. When she replies. “Well thank you Amy.”

I see a smirk on Amy face. She is up to something I just don’t know what. The staff starts to fill our drinks.

“Would like wine Alpha Shanna?” The omega asked.

“Please call me Shanna, and yes please that will be wonderful.” She replies.

The omega fills Shanna’s wine glass and continues to mine. “Alpha would you like wine?”

“Yes Tina thank you.” I reply.

Tina the young omega gives me a big smile and she pours me my wine. I turn to see Shanna looking with a big smile on her face. Not sure why she is smiling but it makes my heart sore seeing that smile on her face. Soon the dinner plates are brought out and we continue to eat. The conservations at the table were pleasant and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. I see Shanna laughing at something Gemma has whispered to her.

“So Shanna I wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier. If we could start over I hope we can be friends.” Amy announces bringing attention of the table to a halt.

I see Shanna’s mind at work. Not knowing what she is thinking about. I hear Shanna reply. “Of course Amy. The incident has already been forgotten.”

I take a deep breath. Did that just happen. I silently thank the goddess. Once dinner is over we all get up front the table. I gently place my hand on Shanna’s lower back guiding her to the exit.

“Will you be turning in for the night?” I ask her.

“Yes, I am an early bird. I will be up early to be at the gym.” She says.

She is so dang prefect. A women that speaks to my heart. “I will also be at the gym. Can we go together?”I ask.

“Sure, I could use a partner.” She replies.

“Scott we still need to talk about things.” She breaths out.

We have already reached her room door. I gently pull her close to me using one of my arms. I hug her tight against my chest. I pinch her chin pulling her face up to mine. I gently kiss her lips. My other hand sliding into her hair. I tug it getting a gasp from her. I start to kiss down her neck. Her body arching into mine. My hands are now touching her bare back. I feel myself getting hard the more our bodies touch. I push her back into the door. I growl leaving my throat. “Shanna do you know what you do to me.” I whisper out.

Her eyes piercing into mine she gently pushes me back. “Scott, we can’t do this anymore.” She breaths out.

My heart stops with the words she just said to me. Did I miss read our moments. This can’t be happening.

“What do you mean Shanna?” I say staring down at her. “Why are you pushing me away?”

“Scott, I don’t do this.” She motions her hands between us. “I don’t just sleep with guys okay. I am not like one of your girls. I will not just sleep with you. I won’t be another female on your list. I am worth more than that.” She snaps at me.

So that’s what this is. She thinks I am just trying to sleep with her. I mean I do want to sleep with her; but I want so much more than that. I mean I pretty much announced to my pack that I am serious about her. That I want a future with her. Can she not see that.

“Shanna, you are right! You are worth more. That’s why I want you to be mine. Not just for tonight but always. I want to wake up next to you in the morning. To hold you while you sleep. I want to build a life with you.” I breath out. There I finally said it. I finally told her how I feel. Holding my breath I grab her face into my big hands so I can stare into those beautiful hazel eyes.

“Scott, you can’t mean that. What if we are not mates? What then?” She squeaks out.

“I don’t care Shanna if we are mates or not. What I feel for you is real. I know that. No mate bond playing with my feelings. I would choose you every time. I choose you Shanna.” I reply hoping she can see how true my feelings are.

“Scott, you say that now but if we are not mates it will change. Specially when you meet your mate. I couldn’t bring myself to steal someone else’s mate. That’s not who I am.” Her words cutting me so deep.

“Shanna finding true mates are rare. Look I know my feelings for you are real. I am willing to wait if that’s what it takes.” I move my hands from her face to rest on her waist.

“Plus what if we are mate? Will you expect me?” I whisper to her like a love sick puppy. s**t what is this girl doing to me.

“Of course I would expect you. I want what my parents had. A real love.” She whispers back.

“And what if we are not mates? Will you still give me a chance? If you can’t find your mate will you think about being my chosen?” I tighten my hold on her. Feeling like I am already losing her when I barely got her.

“I will think about it Scott. I need time to process my feelings. Do know I care about you. I just need time.” She gently places her small hand on my cheek.

“Take all the time you need” I place my hand over hers. I lean in and gently kiss her soft lips.

“Goodnight Shanna.” I turn and leave to my room. If she needs space then that’s what I am going to give her. I head straight to the shower to let out the s****l frustration that I was left in. I put on a pair of grey sweat shorts and head to bed. Tonight the only dream I want is Shanna sleeping next to me. I quickly fall asleep thinking of the angel sleeping next door.
