Weekend Adventure

Shanna POV

Pulling up to the Scott’s pack house I was nervous. This would be the first time staying at another pack house with out my father companying me. Since he is still the Alpha of our pack he normally does all the traveling if needed. Plus my father is super protective of me. Since my father is such good friends with Scott’s father he was more then thrilled of me coming to visit Alpha Scott’s pack. I know my father favors Scott. He let me know he approves of him if I ever decide to mate with him. I still can’t believe my father said that to me. I am not looking for my mate right now but this whole idea of being with someone who is not my mate just doesn’t sit well with me. Who knows maybe Scott is my mate. I feel so confused at the moment.

I came here to let go and to just live my life without the pressure of being prefect. The perfect female alpha. Yet I know to the male alpha’s I will never be enough. Only good enough to be breed their heirs. How am I supposed to feel about finding my mate when this keeps coming into my mind. What if my mate is another Alpha will he try to make me submit to him. What if he doesn’t want to lead our packs together. I am destined to lead the strongest pack in the USA any alpha would be tempted with the power that comes with it.

“Shanna, we talked about this. I told you to let go have fun now. We will cross that bridge when it comes. Plus you have me always.” Lila says breaking my thoughts.

“It is easier said then done Lila. You know this! We have huge responsibilities that will rest on our shoulders. How can I even think of having fun knowing that my future can come crashing down with one wrong decision.” I reply

“You can never be fully prepared. Mistakes will happen it is what you do after those mistakes which makes you great. So stop with the over thinking and lets have fun.” Lila barks out

“You are right Lila. I need to live for this moment.” I reply.

“Earth to Shanna! Is Lila on a yapping rampage again.” Gemma shouts out to break my thoughts.

“What? Huh…? Sorry I was just thinking; and no Lila was just trying to get me to stop being so wound up.” Replying to her

“What does Gemma mean by yapping rampage?! Gemma is the one that can’t shut her trap.” Lila huffs out.

I can’t help but bust out laughing at my two crazy friends. Making Luke and Vince look at me like I lost my s**t. “What’s so funny are we missing something?” Luke chimes in with a smile on his face.

I have known Luke since we were pups. Gemma and Luke have been the closet things to siblings I have. Luke has always been like an older brother. When the time comes for my father, Vince and Paul to step down my close friends will step into their roles. Luke is to be my beta and Gemma my gamma.

“You know the same old teasing of Gemma and Lila.” I laugh telling Luke.

“O that will do it. Those two are always at it aren’t they.” Luke laughs.

“Hey! That is not true. Lila is always just yapping to Shanna. I can barely get her attention with all that yapping.” Gemma replies.

“That’s it I am going to bite her. Then we will see who the yapper is!” Lila barks in my head.

“No you don’t Lila. We don’t bite people.” I say in a stern voice to her.

“Watch me.” Lila replies with a big smirk

“O no you don….” I am cut off and Lila takes over leaning close to Gemma’s arm and biting down.

Before I could even process what Lila was doing I hear a yelp coming from Gemma. “What the hell Shanna you bit me!” Gemma Shouts.

Lila pulling our eyes to meet Gemma’s with a big grin plastered on our face. Showing Gemma it was Lila who was currently present. “That’s what you get next time I will give you a wet willy” Lila laughs out.

“Lilaaaa…… Give Shanna back control that was not cool.” Gemma shouts.

Luke and Vince are both laughing their heads off in the front seats of the car. Lila finally gives me back control.

“Okay ladies. Looks like our host is waiting for us to get down.” Vince voices still having a chuckle to it.

“Shannaaaaa…. Lila bit me! You need to tell her not to do that. It hurt!” Gemma says with a pouty face.

“I will be having a talk with Lila about biting. Trust me.” I laugh out.

Getting out of the car I see Scott walking up to me wrapping his big arms around my small waist bringing me close to his chest for a hug. Leaning in I wrap my arms around him to return his hug. Sniffing his scent makes me relax it is so weird. I don’t feel a connection to Scott yet I find his presence calming.

“How was your drive? And these are your friends you have told me about.” Scott’s deep voice drawling attention to him. Making me bring my hazel eyes to his beautiful green ones.

Stepping back I clear my throat as I notice Gemma wiggling her eyebrows at me. Feeling heat going to my cheeks I turn to look in a different direction. O Goddess please don’t let my cheeks be red. Only Gemma can make this so awkward.

“Ahhh Yes, This is my friend Luke my future beta. My friend Gemma my future gamma and of course you know beta Vince.” I reply.

“Well you all must be tried from the drive. I am sure you would like to rest before dinner tonight.” Scott states.

I nod to him “Yes, that would be great. We would like to rest and freshen up.” I reply.

“Not a problem. Shanna if you don’t mind I will show you to your room. My beta Chance will show the rest of your friends to their rooms.” Scott says.

“O are we not staying on the same floor?” I ask Scott.

“You will be staying on the Alpha floor next to me. Your friends are also on the Alpha floor but on the guest side. They can walk over anytime.” Alpha Scott says with a big smile.

O goddess this is not good staying right next to Scott. Ya that is asking for trouble. Normally guest Alpha’s and their pack members stay in the guest quarters. Having me stay on his side next to his room is pretty much declaring future intentions. Which I don’t know how I feel about him yet. Yes Scott is freaking handsome there is no denying that; but I don’t want to lead him on if there is no future for us. I finally decide to decline the offer and stay with my friends on the guest side when Gemma decides otherwise.

“She would love that right Shanna? She was so excited to visit your pack again. Specially with your pack BBQ tomorrow.” Gemma blurts out. Well giving me that look from the other day.

“Shanna I know you are going to be mad; but do not ghost Scott. You do this every time. Let go have just see how this turns out.” Gemma mind links me.

I roll my eyes at her. Linking her back before I reply to Scott. “Gemma I told you no meddling in my love life. This discussion is not over missy.” I snap at her through the link.

“See I told you Gemma is a pain in the ass. Even tho she is kinda right tho. Want me to bite her again? ” Lila barks with a chuckle.

“No Lila!!! We are not doing that again. I am handling this.” I reply blocking her out.

Turning to Scott and the others. I reply “Yes that is totally fine Scott. Show us the way.”

Looking at Luke and Vince who knew I was linking Gemma gave me winks. I swear this is going to be a long weekend.

Scott’s POV

When I saw Shanna get out of the car I felt heart beating faster. Goddess she really is the most beautiful she-wolf I have ever seen. Walking up and talking her in my arms was the best feeling to me. Her delicate frame pressed against me made Peter jump for joy.

“After dinner I want to run with Lila!” Peter barks.

“We will see Peter. This weekend has to be prefect. This is our chance to tell them how we feel. So you need to behave. We will have our chance okay.” I reply.

“Fine! I just want to lay with Lila for awhile before they leave.” Peter whimpers.

“I will see what we can do buddy.” I reply cutting Peter off and blocking him out.

As we walk into the pack house I see my beta Chance standing waiting for us in the foyer. Also standing next to him is Amy. When did she even come back. This can’t be good. Clearing my throat at the awkward silence I turn to Chance.

“Chance… Amy, This is soon to be Alpha Shanna of the White Peak Pack and her friends, Luke, Gemma and of course beta Vince.” I announce.

“It is a pleasure to meet you Luke and Gemma. Beta Vince always a pleasure and Shanna it always an honor to have you with us.” Chance says well shaking everyone’s hands.

“So the famous Shanna everyone talks about! I would say it is a pleasure to finally meet the women who seems to have stolen our Alpha’s heart from us but then I would be lying.” Amy voice cuts through like a knife.

A deathly silence comes over everyone. Shanna is looking at Amy with a confused look. I am literally sweating right now. Peter is now pacing back and forth in my head. I need to say something but what. Shanna’s friend Gemma is giving Amy the stink eye well Luke and Vince are just looking everywhere but the women. Chance is looking at me knowing this is not good. Right when I was about to say something I hear Shanna’s beautiful clam voice.

“Well Amy I think you are right. It is not a pleasure it is more of an honor to meet the women who holds the heart of your Alpha. I would also think you would be happy for your Alpha if he found someone worth loving.” Shanna replies.

Everyone’s shock faces are looking at Shanna. Mouths wide open like fish out of water. To say I was not expecting that answer is an understand. I finally break my gaze on Shanna’s beautiful face to see a very red and pissed off Amy storming off through the front door. Chance looking at me not sure if he should go after her. I shake my head.

“So Alpha Scott if you would continue showing us to our rooms we would greatly appreciate.” Shanna voice comes on more irritated.

Clearing my throat I reply “Of course Shanna please this way. Chance if you can take the others.”

“Yes Alpha. Vince, Luke and Gemma please follow me.” Chance announces.

Gently I place my hand on Shanna’s lower back leading her to the stair case to the Alpha floor. Once we reach the sixth floor I walk her to the luna suite next to my room. I turn to look at Shanna’s face taking in her beautiful hazel eyes. Realizing I have been staring at her I finally look away and open her room door.

“This will be your room for the weekend. If you need anything let me know I am right next door. I also want to apologize for Amy’s behavior. It is a little complicated but she is a wonderful person. I hope you can give her another chance.” I breath out as I take in her reaction.

When I see Shanna taking in my words she replies. “Alpha Scott, I feel you have unfinished business with the women downstairs. It is not my place nor my intentions to get into your personal life. We are friends and I will take your word and give this women another chance; but let me make myself clear I will not tolerate disrespect nor will my wolf. Specially when I have done nothing to this women. As for her statement downstairs we can discuss this tonight after dinner.”

Shanna turns and enters the room shutting the door behind her. Leaving me wheeling at her words. This is not how I wanted this weekend to go. I totally could have ruined any chance of being with her. With one past mistake I could have lost the one thing I have always wanted “Her”. The beauty who stole my heart one day by just looking at her. My heart feels like it is going to burst thinking she will hate me after this. I am even back to being called Alpha Scott. How could this go sideways. “And you were worried I would screw this up” Peter barks out.

“I get it Peter! I screwed up I know that. I thought that Amy would get over me when she left. I wasn’t expecting her to get so attached. She knew about Shanna this whole time. I just don’t understand what has gotten into her.” I huff out.

“We both know that’s not true. Amy has loved us for years. We both knew this and yet you still allowed her to get close. Now we hurt Amy and may have lost any chance with a future with Shanna.” Peter whimpers.

“I will fix this Peter. I will go find Amy and get this whole thing cleared up.” I reply.

“Well let’s just hope it is not too late. If we lose our chance to be with Shanna and Lila I will blame you Scott!” Peter barks out.

I better go find Amy and see how I can save this weekend before it goes from bad to worse. Walking to my office I mind link my beta Chance. “Chance, when you are done showing our guests to their rooms meet me in my office. We need to discuss what happened with Amy.”

“Yes Alpha, I am heading your way now.” Chance replies.

Shanna POV

What is up with all this drama. I came her to get away let lose and have some fun for once. Now I get dragged into a love triangle I didn’t even ask for! I mean what the hell was that downstairs. Do women not have control of their emotions. Hell I don’t even know this girl and she had the nerve to disrespect me. She is lucky one of us has self control or Lila would have ripped her and her wolf to shreds. Taking a deep breath I try to calm myself.

“You should have let me put that she wolf in her place!” Lila growls out.

“We are better then that Lila. Plus why are we even fighting over Scott anyways. If this women is so in love with him; and by the look in her eyes she definitely is. Then she could have him. I am not about this drama. I won’t come into something that is not finished and to this women it is definitely not finished.” I huff out.

“Well there is always that hottie David? The warrior tournament is coming up. Who knows you might change your mind about him.” Lila purrs.

“Ya no that is not going to happen Lila. I owe him that date and that’s it. Nothing more. So don’t go on this little mind trick again. I am done with the drama of men. It is easier to just work and stay busy.” I reply.

“Let’s just try to have fun this weekend. Scott can handle that women. We can just enjoy our time with our friends instead. Don’t let this women ruin our fun.” Lila barks out.

“You are right Lila. We came here to get away and have some fun. I will not let this ruin our weekend.” I reply.

With that I head to the shower to wash off my travels. When I step out I braid my long blonde her and throw on a long t-shirt. I head to the big king size bed resting my head. I will take a quick nap then get ready for dinner later this afternoon. Letting all my worries go I fall asleep.

Amy POV

My heart hurts so badly. I feel like I have no control of this anger that is building inside me. Looking at that women Scott brought to the pack just broke me. I thought after our time together he would see how much I love him. How I would do anything to make him happy. So when I finally came face to face with the women that Scott dreams about since we were young I broke. My anger finally coming to the surface. She is as beautiful as all the rumors say. Which makes it even worse. No man in their right minds would turn her away. She also radiates power. More power then some alpha’s. There is something different about her. It is true her family comes from lycan roots. Which could be another reason why she is so beautiful. Lycan’s are known for their beauty, power and strength. There has not been a lycan for centuries or so we think. How am I suppose to compete with her. Unless I find her someone else to perk her interest. Or someone who can tame the alpha female. Bring her to her knees and I know just who can do it. He owes me a favor after saving his life during a battle a year ago when I was in training to be a healer. With that I bring out my phone dialing his number. This weekend will be the start of me finally getting what I always wanted and his name is Scott.

“Hello, Yes I am finally calling in that favor you owe me. It is complicated but I need you to come to my pack. Be here tomorrow morning.” I say cutting off the call. Soon Scott will be all mine.
