“Good morning sleepy head.” David teases. I accept the decaf coffee he is offering and sit down at the counter. Hope is still asleep and I wish I were her right then, cuddled up under the duvet and still dreaming. “Good morning. So, I’ll be working a bit late, so I can have a longer Sunday. You OK to sort yourselves for dinner?” I ask, getting everything I need, that’s scattered all over my living room and kitchen. “Yes, we’re good. I’ll make sure your’s is kept aside. Green salad for lunch and a fruit cup. Take it.” I roll my eyes at David, but kiss him nonetheless, thankful that he is who he is. I get to the office just before James and tense the minute he walks in, calling my name as he passes my office. Lucy shakes her head with a giggle and whispers, “Good luck!” Jam
