Chapter 11

"Closer. Come closer pa with Kuya D. You can rest your head on his shoulders," Niki instructed.

I looked at Kuya Dominic and he's just watching me with what I am gonna do now.

I was so confident days ago that I would do well in this acting since it's just Kuya Dominic but that's what makes it harder now that we are filming.

I rested my head on his hard shoulders. This is the first time to be this close to Kuya Dominic and I don't know what I am actually feeling. There's kilig on me, of course, but there's something greater inside me of that I cannot really explain. I am like nervous na awkward na ewan. I really don't understand myself right now!

"Yvette, stay still on your position. Relax your body. You look tensed," dagdag ni Cassey who became the make up artist and stylist for this production. "Stand by kayo ah. Camera roll on my queue."

I cleared my throat and huminga ng malalam para ma- tanggal ang daga sa dibdib ko. We are on the scene three and we are sitting here at the sofa. What we're supposed to do is act like a lovey- dovey while watching something on the TV like what normal couples do.

Scene one is the moment that we are entering the place to live with each other. Scene two is eating together in the dining room, serving each other.

I was fine earlier.

That's when I didn't have to have this much of physical contact with each other.

That's when I can't hear how his heart beats and his hand isn't on my waist at the back.

"Okay, let's do this!" Nikki announced. Everybody held their breath and they all pointed their gazes towards us. "Ready for action in three... two... one!"

I looked at the television playing a romance movie like it's the saddest thing that I have ever been watched on my whole life.

Sumandal ako sa dibdib nya. This is a scene with no dialogue. Kailangan lang namin maipakita that this is one of the things that's what our characters do.

Naramdaman ko ang pag pulupot ng isa pang kamay ni Kuya Dom sa katawan ko and pulled me closer to him. Half of my body is now completely leaning on him. Ramdam na ramdam ko na ang pag hinga niya sa likod ng tainga ko.

This is not on the script but I acted like everything's going fine.

And then, he kissed the back of my head making me pull my breath harder so Niki shouted "Cut!"

The people lets out a loud groan because the scene was going really well until my mistake. Because of that, kailangan na naman namin na ulitin iyon and I don't think I could go over that over and over again.

"I'm sorry guys!" agad kong sabi.

"It's okay, Yve. Let's have a five minute break and then let's shoot this again," ssabi ni Niki.

"Excuse me," sabi ko at saka tumayo.

I could feel their stares, lalong lalo na ang kay Kuya Dominic but I didn't mind them all. Dire- diretso lang ako on my room para maka hinga ako kahit papaano.

Ngayon ko naramdaman yung pressure that I have to do well. I didn't want this pero pumayag ako so kailangan kong panindigan 'to and I cannot back out just because I feel that this is too hard for me. I have to do well so that all my team mate's effort won't be wasted.

"Pasok!" sigaw ko as I heard a knock on my door.

It opened and then Kuya Dominic enetered the room while I am still sitting at the edge of my bed.

"I can still feel that you are awkward with this," sabi niya saka inabutan ako ng isang opened bottled water.

I accepted it at sumipsip ng kaunti, enough to make my throat feel hydrated.

"Yeah. I told you, my acting sucks big time. Ganda talaga ang mayroon ako but the talent sa pag acting?" Huminga ako ng malalim at umiling. "Wala talaga."

Kuya Dom half smiled. "No. You are doing a good job with your acting. I meant that you are awkward with me. Whenever I'd touch you, you'd flinch. Pag nag kaka-titigan tayo, you can't look at me straight in the eye."

Nanlaki ang mata ko and I slightly panicked because that's exactly it.

"Don't think of anything," panimula niya. "Forget that you know me as your Kuya Dominic. Now, see me as Oliver, your boyfriend. Okay? Don't think of yourself as Yvette. You are Bea and we are together. Okay?"

Tinitigan ko sya, taking his advice to think of and sew him as the character that he's portraying. I pictured out the scenario in ny head and now, I have to act like it.

"You are Oliver and I am Bea. Okay. Let's do this!" Pag motivate ko sa sarili ko.

I am bad at this but it doesn't mean thatI can't do well.

"That's right! That's the spirit. Embody your character. We don't know Yvette here. We only know my love of my life Bea," aniya.

I am just so thankful that everybody's so patient with me and guiding me with this.

"I think you have a knack on this. You juat have to relax and trust that you are doing well because you are," aniya.

"Nah. I'll just leave acting to those who can. Okay na sa aking maging maganda na lang with substance. Anyway, how's acting again after for so many years?"

Kuya Dominic plastered a huge smile at kasabay nun ang pag kinang ng mga mata niya.

"I am glad I agreed to do this. I feel like the adrenalin rush is just flowing on me and it feels good to do what I was passionate about when I was younger," aniya.

"Bakit hindi ka nag artista? I mean, you have a great talent for acting and you're pogi naman?" tanong ko.

His huge smile wears off and then he sighed. "You know, I tried. I auditioned before but I realized that it was and will always be a passion. Something that I am good at but that wasn't the field that I want to be in," he told me.

Tumango ako. "I agree. You totally belong in the business world."

I am glad that Kuya Dom's enjoying this because he's acting for us on his day off for free and the least that we could do for him is to make this fun for him.

After the break, bumalik na rin kami sa labas and they are all waiting for us. Agad kaming pumwesto sa sofa.

With an ease, I leaned into him and he held me like he's not gonna let go of me.

And because of the encouragement that he gave me, naitawid namin yung eksena. It's effective.

"Next scene is the bed scene. Scene four. Change outfits tayo," sabi ni Cassey.

Nanlaki ang mata ko. "I thought we're leaving that scene out?"

We had a meeting, without Kuya, prior to this we all collectively agreed to remove that scene because I said it's beyond our boundaries.

The hug and the kiss on my hair is already too much for my heart and I don't think I can handle the bed one.

Before I have all the thoughts like what would be the feeling cuddling on a bed with him or just being this close to him?

Now that alam ko na ang sagot, I wanna delete all the fantasies and scenarios that I pictured out and imagined doing with him in my head kasi hindi ko na kakayanin when all of that comes true.

"It's better to show you why I want to include that scene. Come here kayo ni Kuya," sabi ni Nikki.

There's laptop kung saan Elon's gonna show the raw video of our sofa scene.

Kabado man, lumapit ako. Magka dikit kami ng braso ni Kuya Dom sa likod ni Nik and leaning downwards so we could properly see the video.

Elon hits the play button and the continuos shot of the scene played.

Instead of the sad movie, they replaced it with a comedy one. Tawa kami ng tawa because of the joke that the character cracked then Kuya Dominic repeated it making me throw him the popcorn and then he tickled me.

We look like a real couple having a good time.

"You saw that? That's the chemistry right there na tinutukoy ko. Magkatinginan lang kayo, alam niyo na parehas. Ang akin lang, the bed scene is also a great way to show the intimacy of the couple," paliwanag ni Nikki.

I pinned my gaze on the continuously playing video on the monitor with half a light and heavy heart.

"If Yvette is incomfortable with that then let's just replace it with something," sabi ni Kuya Dom.

"It's okay. Let's do it," sabi ko. "If it will make this film better then let's do it."

Moving to scene five, medyo natagalan pa bago kami naka ready because we arranged pa my bed. Dahil wala sa usapan na gagawin 'yung bed scene, I didn't prepare my bed.

We just replace it with a color white bed sheet instead of the pastel blue and pink that I have.

"Grabe naman 'yun miss maam!" hiyaw nila Clyde when I stepped in to the room.

I am wearing the laced satin white deess that Vivian lended me because wala akong ganito and I prefer pajamas lver this. Naka lugay rin ang buhok ko and she made me look like I just got out of the shower and ready to sleep na.

"You're so sexy Yve! Grabe!" ani Cassey.

Dahil thin strapped lang yung dress and low neckline, medyo sumisilip yung dibdib ko and it's fine dahil hindi naman ako naka hubad.

Napa lingon ako nang pumasok si Kuya Dominic in the room wearing his sleepwear. Tshirt and boxer shorts.

His eyebrow twitched as he stares at me and my dress at hindi niya tinatanggal ang titig sa akin when he's across the room talking to Elon.

"Grabe kayo Yve," bulong ni Vivian at nasa tabi nya si Cassey and they're re- touching my make up dahil na hu- hulas na because of the heat of the lighting.

I pulled my eyes on Kuya and kunot noong bumaling sa kanila. "Why? What did we do?"

"Galing niyo ni Kuya D! You guys, just date each other. I swear, walang wala sa mga naka date mo si Kuya Dom. He's really the man," kinikilig na sabi ni Viv.

I know right!

Kuya Dominic once again, proved to me that he is the standard. Panalong panalo na naman ako at buhay na buhay na naman ang pagkaka crush ko sa kaniya!

"Buti na lang okay lang sa kuya mo 'no? Na ganito ka ka intimate sa bestfriend niya," sabi ni Cas.

"Kung may isang taong pagkakatiwalaan si Kuya Gio about me, si Kuya Dom lang."

Before we confirmed that we are filming this with Kuya Dom, tumawag na muna ako kay Kuya Gio to let him know things and he's supportive naman.

Ang sabi lang niya, 'Ayusin mo. Don't embarass yourself to Dominic when it comes to acting'.

Supportive, right?

However, hindi ko nasabi na the film would be this intimate and hindi ko rin alam kung ano ang magiging reaction niya pero bahala na.

Basta for me, I just have to do this well with Kuya Dom.

"Stand by na for scene four!" sigaw ni Niki. "Kuya D and Yve, dito muna kayo sa bed. We'll see kung maganda na ang framing."

Lumakad ako at umupo sa bed ko at tumabi naman sa akin si Kuya Dom.

"You look good, Yve. Buti na lang wala rito 'yung kuya mo or he'll flip out."

Natawa ako. "Buti na lang talaga. You know he's so kontrabida with anything."

"Guys," tawag ni Niki. "Ganito. Look into each other like you guys are gonna make love."

Mabilis na umakyat ang pamumula sa buong mukha ko.

I need an oxygen for this!

"Alright. Yve? Let's do this," naka ngiting sabi ni Kuya Dom.
