I had taken a nap before calling Kayla at work today. I wanted to let her know that I am done and will be coming home. What I wasn't expecting to hear was that she never showed up to work. Dustin, the guy that usually picks up the phone told me that she wasn't there and that he had no idea where she was. That she has never not shown up to work before.
I've never felt so scared before in my life. I immediately called the airport and found the soonest flight that they had to get back to her. I was scared to death that she went into labor early and I was going to miss it or worse, she got hurt or had complications and I'm not there to be with her.
