Kayla's POV:
I was quite surprised. As we walked through the store he didn't say anything to me. I don't know if maybe he also didn't want to bring any attention to himself in the store or not. I was also shocked that he didn't put anything else in my basket. After what he said to me in my apartment that day before he left I had expected him to add more but he didn't.
We walked through the store to the checkout line in silence. He even took the food that I had and put it on the conveyor belt. We waited in line while they scanned the people ahead of us their groceries. Then they had coupons that they were using which made me think that I need to also find a way to get coupons. I'm just not sure where you can get those at.
That would help me get more and not spend as much money on
